Though i do agree that there should be programing for all religions on television, I don’t think EC should be on EWTN. That’s like saying RC should be on a Protestant station (I would like that but I don’t think it would be right).
You don’t think Eastern Catholics should be represented on Catholic Television?

Luckily EWTN doesn’t agree. There have been a number of excellent programs about the Eastern Catholic Churches. As OP says, we think here should be
more.

I’m not personally interested in a weekly broadcast of the Divine Liturgy. I would like to see/hear a monthly program devoted to Eastern and Oriental Catholics. At least one of the Catholic Answers radio programs devotes a program weekly or monthly to Q& A for non-Catholics callers only. In a similar restricted focus it would good to have a weekly or monthly Q&A where the apologist is an EC/OC apologist. Since they don’t have to be in the studio to do the show EWTN/Catholic radio could do this easily.
Fr. Mitch may be only bi-ritual priest who has an ongoing program on EWTN but Fr. Benedict Groeschel is very knowledge about our Churches and about Holy Orthodoxy. I’ve been rather surprised at the accurate knowledge a number of the apologists on Catholic radio and TV have about our Churches and about Orthodoxy, on the occasions when questions come up about us. Questions about us do come up, just not often enough. And, for example, when someone asks about priestly celibacy the Latin apologists will initiate making the point that we ECs do have married priests. Or in discussions about the Eucharist they will bring up how we receive in Eastern Churches, and perhaps differences in our fasting., etc.
If we don’t keep asking it is guaranteed nothing will change. I also have said many times when they do air a good programs about our Churches contact them and thank them. Believe me the Latin faithful are plenty vocal about what they like and don’t like.
And I totally agree about OLTV and Jack Figle. What Jack has done for the Body of Christ is really unique. How many of you listened, and listened again, to
the OL plenaries on Ancient Faith Radio and never made
a donation to help cover the costs? It’s not too late!

I think that was the first time all the plenaries were offered in full. It’s unclear there will even be another OL Conference the need for $ support for that is so significant.
