Exclusive: Family fears missing Indiana priest in danger, possibly dead in Greece
An Indiana priest has disappeared in Greece, and his family tells Fox59 News that they believe he’s in serious danger or maybe even dead.
Father Christiaan Kappes, a Franklin, Ind., native and priest for the Indianapolis Archdiocese, began pursuing doctoral studies in Athens, Greece, on behalf of the Vatican three years ago
Three days ago, Father Kappes called his family to tell them that he was trying to escape the country with his translator.
"He told my dad on Monday, ‘If you don’t hear from me in 12 to 24 hours, I’m dead,” said Nadia Charcap, Father Kappes’ sister.

i didn’t click on the link, but why was he trying to escape the country? i know Greece has been experiencing a financial crisis over there, but i didn’t know it was dangerous for Americans.
i pray that he is still alive and safe!!

Father Christiaan Kappes’s translator received a large inheritance, and her family was mad that they did not get any. Her family and neighbor sought to have her threatened and harmed to take the will from her. Her attackers were likely hoping to pin the crime on Fr Kappes. While trying to leave Greece, they were taken from the airport and haven’t been heard from recently. He is my cousin, and we fear that he has in imminent danger, if he hasn’t already been killed. Please pray for him and his translator, that they may arrive to safety!

Pray that the saints will intercede on their behalf!
St Michael, defend them.
St Anthony, help them to be found.
St Christopher, protect them in their travel.

were they kidnapped from the airport? maybe someone is hiding them for safety?

if his translator is killed, will her inheritance go to the people who are mad that she received the inheritance? wouldn’t it be obvious that these were the people who killed her and they would be charged with her and possibly the priest’s murder?

i pray that someone has helped them into hiding and will help them get out of Greece safely.

**Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.**

Please consider Fr. Kappes and his family in your prayer intentions.

Peace,

i pray they are both found safe and sound in Jesus name,Amendment

Poor Family, Poor Priest. :(:(:(😦

WILL be in my Rosary tonight!!

Thats terrible. 😦 😦

Lord Jesus Christ protect and keep safe Father Kappes. May this horrible situation come to a resolution very soon for the peace of his family. Amen :gopray:

God bless

For those who missed the peecding post, the Father Kappes made it out of the country and is safe, though the woman he was assisting (and who also escaped) was injured (though there is no more information than this so far.)

Thank you God! (Thank you Saint Damien, for your prayers!)
