We sound like a broken record, because we keep getting a broken answer.
I would suggest we supply answers that are only partly considered.

Read the Tablet of the Universe posted above. The opening couple of paragraphs more then answer every question. But then there is so much more.

tony is right.

the bahai reject the Gospel of Jesus Christ as we have received it through the apostles and their successors.

to believe that bahaullah was a direct intervention in human history by almighty God requires rejecting the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

hopefully this thread has at least cleared that up.

you cannot believe what the bahai teach and simultaneously place your faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

thank you tony for making that clear.

but, as with all religions, there are elements (not the whole but some elements) of the Gospel of Jesus in the teachings of bab and bahaullah. as Paul wrote, God’s laws are written in the hearts of all men including the pagans even if the pagans do not accept them or recognize there source.

accordingly, through the natural efforts of men, some of God’s glory and order can be discerned and this is the source of the good in all religions outside of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

tony, i read the first few paragraphs of the link you provided.

honestly, i believe it is gravely deficient in terms of the english language. it may have suffered much in translation.

for example, the phrase “hidden and manifest worlds” must mean something to you and other bahai, but i have no idea what the author means by this phrase.

Incorrect accusations are murky waters Eddie.

Thats what I keep saying about this stuff that it is so convoluted and abstract that it’s impossible to read.

The Dawning Places of Unity, the Daysprings of Singleness and the Suns of Holiness are also sanctified beyond the bounds of number, and the luminous spiritual worlds are exalted above limits and restrictions. In like manner the worlds of bodily existence the mind of no man can reckon nor the understanding of the learned comprehend.

tony, i got knocked off the internet because i use a public computer that limits the amount of time i can be on before being knocked off. it does however give a person three separate log ons.

anyway, here is another example of the difficulty i have understanding the writings of the site you provided: what does the author mean by the phrase “holy realities”? how are these “holy realities” the “sole providers”?

here is another example: “He hath ordained these Names and Attributes to be the first and foremost origin and cause of being in the world of creation and the source of the different grades of realities in the degrees of existence.” none of this sentence makes sense to me.

is it saying names and attributes are the Creator? what does the author mean by “different grades of realities” and “degrees of existence”?

another one? how about this? " the Day-Star of Names and Attributes" what is this?

what does the author mean with this phrase and its conclusion: “… hidden realities in the heart of the unseen realm, they issued forth,” what hidden realities issued forth?

and further, what does the author mean by “Divine conditions and Eternal signs”?

as you can see, the words you provided only raised questions in my mind. how can i believe in something that provides no answers or substantive (in the sense of the Divine Mysteries) information but only leads to questions and confusion?

jimmy, the bahai do not believe in the physical Resurrection of the Lord’s Body. they do not believe the apostles found an empty tomb. they do not believe Jesus ate with them and was touched by them after His death and burial. they do not believe that Jesus Body passed through locked doors.

that is one reason they might characterize the Resurrection as silly.

they reject the Gospel of Jesus Christ, although it is unusual for them to call it silly. that might have been an unintentional revelation of how they truly feel about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. in any case, Jesus told us that He and His followers would be rejected by those who did not believe.

Tony, I’ve read the opening paragraphs …and it still does’t answer my questions. No where did I see Jesus’s name

124 “The Word of God, which is the power of God for salvation to everyone who has faith, is set forth and displays its power in a most wonderful way in the writings of the New Testament” which hand on the ultimate truth of God’s Revelation. Their central object is Jesus Christ, God’s incarnate Son: his acts, teachings, Passion and glorification, and his Church’s beginnings under the Spirit’s guidance.

There is no doctrine which could be better, more precious and more splendid than the text of the Gospel. Behold and retain what our Lord and Master, Christ, has taught by his words and accomplished by his deeds.
But above all it’s the gospels that occupy my mind when I’m at prayer; my poor soul has so many needs, and yet this is the one thing needful. I’m always finding fresh lights there; hidden meanings which had meant nothing to me hitherto

Baha’i don’t believe in Christianity I’m guessing

Except that what eddie said about what Baha’is believe is not true., and your conclusion that we do not believe in Christianity is an example of what is said in the Bible, that even the elect will be deceived.

Talk about deception…🤷

There is nowhere in the Baha’i Writings that explores the why and what of an empty tomb. There is nothing in the Baha’i Writings that says we should not believe that Jesus could go through locked doors. There is nothing again stating that we should not believe that Jesus ate and was touched by the Apostles.

These accusations come from the deceiving imagination of your fellow Catholics.

I think insincerity abounds from some on this thread 🤷

Tony has had enough of it, it is getting silly, and frankly, I’m surprised some Catholics are so deceptive and insincere 😦

Are we “exploring” the Baha’i Faith or creating myths about it here…???

If you look with your eyes at The Word on a Page without the heart to explore what it says, you will but see Words on a Page.

Every messenger that God ever sent or will send, every Word He Has or Will Utter is manifest in those opening passages. It is beautiful, its is alive it is our existence.

It is there.

Hidden and manifest worlds.

Hidden world is the world of the Kingdom, which brcomes revealed to us when we die
Manifest world is the visible universe.

.

Then why can’t he just say that ?
He did in two words and not a sentence.

When we read Gods word we look for the Spiritual Meaning, this is as the Bible is as well.

Please note, This is a Provisional Translation and not yet had official translation.

The Official Translation will be done when there is time. When it is translated the Word with the most accurate meaning is chosen.

The bible sounds nothing like this cryptic language.
