Glenn Beck’s “theblaze” has reported at 9:07 EDT that the Saudi national “witness” was in the process of being deported for terrorist activities. Obama’s government officials were in the process of getting this man, connected to a prominent Saudi family, aboard a plane back to Saudi Arabia. All information about this man was about to be classified. Thank God for men and women of courage such as Glenn Beck and his staff! 😦 Rob

P.S. Beck tried to give his network’s solid information to otherR national news sources, so they could break it first, but all decined. B/c of the time sensitivity of releasing all pertinent facts PRIOR to their becoming classified, Beck had to announce it himself this morning. The information was received from patriots within government who risked their careers and maybe their lives by relaying it
 
And the Obama Drama continues. He’s angry. I never heard of “Patriot’s Day” either, till I heard the connection of the battle. I assumed that was football at first. 🙂

It broke on Hannity last night.
On Sean Hannity’s Fox News program Wednesday night, terror expert Steve Emerson cited sources saying Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi, the Saudi national who was briefly named a “person of interest” in the Boston Marathon bombings, is being deported on Tuesday.

I may not have heard of “Patriots Day” as an official term but to think that when the Boston Marathon is in town, established 1897, that a festive atmosphere prevails and maybe expanding it to include a Bruins and Redsox fixtures, I can see where it would have a connotation of being a sort of holiday.

Mardi Gras in New Orelans or St. Patrick’s day in a number of places, these are sorts of unofficial holidays.

God bless Hannity as well, then! Becks’ people seem to have added to the information that Hannity revealed last night, most prominently that said Saudi was about to be deported BEFORE the bombing b/c of his involvement in a terrorist cell.

I am not going to say whether I think this information is true or not. I have not done enough research to make a decision on that.

What I am going to say is that I do not consider Glenn Beck a reliable source and would not consider anything he says to be accurate without corroboration from a source that I do consider to be reliable.

It is far too early to think there is some type of conspiracy, and the only people that seem sure of it are the people that are generally anti-government and looking to pin everything bad that happens on some government conspiracy.

 Who ARE the reliable sources now? CNN or FOX, who said that an arrest was about to be made, then had been made, and had to retract it all? If you've noticed, Beck has never had to retract any story that he has reported over the past several years. If Beck reports it, he has all his facts in a row. He even had a phone for Obama or his minions to call if they disputed ANYTHING that he ever said. They had been calling off the air every day to complain, then the phones went silent when he offered them the on-air challenge.
It's easier to caricature a man who speaks truth to power than studiously consider what he says, and weigh the implications. :rolleyes: Rob

I think CNN pretty much removed themselves from even the most ardent supporter’s list of reliable sources with their actions yesterday. Until they announce the firing of several administrators and new procedures they can’t be relied upon.

Fox was just as bad. I don’t go to Fox for news, but I do like the O’Reilly show. He has guests from opposing sides of the argument.
 
As has been said, NBC doctored the George ZImmerman tapes, the way it sounded made Zimmerman look racist, that’s got to be the worse thing to do in the news just about. So, yes, other news sources are viable too.

To criticize a source, I don’t know, find real holes in the story, I may not like Mother Jones but if I didn’t like a story they had, probably better to attack the message not the messenger.

I don’t watch any of them - but it seemed CNN was tripping over themselves with their announcement of an arrest then John King’s as a “dark-skinned” male comment pretty much took them off any reliability list.

People are innocent until proven guilty – not the other way around.

That is true on CAF as well. There is way too much speculation on this thread and trashing of people with little to no evidence to support it. Case in point the Saudi national who may be leaving for his own safety as much as anything else.

When there is real news, from a real news source, you can post it. Remember TALK SHOW HOSTS AND THEIR BLOGS ARE NOT NEWS SOURCES

Actually in Boston (technically Suffolk County which includes Boston, Chelsea and Winthrop) St. Patrick’s Day is a legal holiday known as “Evacuation Day” to commemorate the evacuation of Boston by the British during the Revolution. 🙂

No he has never retracted anything because if he is shown to be wrong on something he just moves onto the next topic. Not that anyone who listens to him would dare question him or say he is wrong.
 
A sickening thought just occurred to me. I don’t know if anyone else here has thought of this, since I haven’t followed this entire thread.

My thought is this: what if the perpetrator is a suicidal lone-wolf type, and what if he deliberately positioned himself to be among the victims, throwing suspicion off his trail and perhaps destroying evidence of his criminal activity?

And what if he’s lying alive and awake in some hospital, watching TV news about the results of his handiwork?

You’ve stepped on it now, because then it should be easy for you to prove but I don’t think you can do that.

You are certainly very critical of others to always be talking about not politicizing an issue.

Also, your statement now just seems poorly presented and not well thought out.
 
One thing I read someone say and it’s got to be so, taking a “pressure cooker” like these they are talking about, filling it up with bbs, ball bearings, nails, I’ve got to think that would start to weigh a lot. Maybe I’m wrong, I’m hearing a car battery will often weigh nearly 39 lbs though that has different answers in a net search. To me that sounds about right because I once had to carry one about a mile. Sort of a random thought, to walk around a crowd area carrying it in a back pack with a heavy weight in it.

It is certainly possible. Whoever did this had to be deeply disturbed so I would think almost anything is possible.
