We are saved by faith alone, and not by works. This is upheld by the Council of Orange which declaired anathema anyone who contended that works in any way contributed to salvation.

James 2:24 says we are Not saved by “Faith Alone:” but by works.
The Holy Spirit who is God and inspired those words to be written is 100% right.
Anyone who says “Faith Alone” saves is 100% contradicting the Bible and the Holy Spirit Who is God!

Hold the phone…if you take any portion of scripture out of the context of the whole of scripture, you may come to the wrong conclusions about what is being said.
That’s one of the faults of Martin Luther; he latched on to “Sola fidae” and built a theology around it to the exclusion of (many) other parts of scripture.

Most clearly in Romans 2:6-7,
who will repay everyone according to his works: eternal life to those who seek glory, honor, and immortality through perseverance in good works,
That’s not the doctrine of sola fide.
