The link I provided is to their website. Are you looking for it on their homepage? Why would you expect a 2-day old story to be still on their homepage?LeafByNiggle:![]()

You are misunderstanding what I am saying. The link on their website is gone. The link I provided is to their website.
Not if it is “true” because you did not check the story line first.Basic logic: if an article is true at the time it is published, it is, quite obviously, NOT fake news.
Where is THAT Metis1?Ya know, what is so hypocritical is that some of the Trump defenders cite a bogus story from Breitbard (sic), which clearly was not true
Exactly. Why did they feel the need to report this at all?
Does it still have the half-truths too? (That I already quoted)And it still has the correction clearly stated, explaining the timeline of the facts
In other news, Trump failed to file his income tax return in 2015. Oh wait, he did. (shades of Harry Reid)?Exactly.
These are propaganda “news articles” by NBC.

As the editors clearly explained in their opening notes at the head of the article, the now-incorrect reporting is left as it was for transparency reasons so that the reader can see both the original story and the reason why the correction was necessary. If they had just quietly corrected the article without explanation or just took it down, you guys would have been all over them for trying to hide their mistakes. They made a wise, open, and transparent journalistic decision to leave all the data there along with the retraction. And it still has the correction clearly stated, explaining the timeline of the facts
More excuses for NBC. They “explained” even in half-truths a story that they did not check on before publishing that even other fake news outfits got (that part) correct. As the editors clearly explained . .
Why would truth require an addendum like this?As the editors clearly explained in their opening notes at the head of the article…

Nope. There was nothing they could have checked. The story was 100% true at the time it was published. Not half true - totally true.As the editors clearly explained . .
If you read the editor’s note, you will know.LeafByNiggle:![]()

Christmastime begins at Christmas Eve. So publishing a ‘news’ story when Christmastime has just begun is exactly what fake news does. The front page lies are always corrected in a small, buried section.See how “Trump” did not visit the troops at “Christmastime” . . .
. . . And when we find out President Trump DOES visit the troops at Christmastime the fake news narrative (even the corrected version) was only partially true.
It used to. Now Santa arrives at the end of the Thanksgiving day parade and gifts are normally given by Christmas day. The NBC editor has noted the confusion and has clarified that, until this year, recent Presidents had visited troops on Christmas day or days leading up to it.Christmastime
That’s why nobody else made the same mistake right? There was nothing they could have checked.
No.If you read the editor’s note, you will know.
