No, NBC did not remove the story. It is still at NBCnews.com
I cannot find a link to the story on their website.
The link I provided is to their website. Are you looking for it on their homepage? Why would you expect a 2-day old story to be still on their homepage?

If you mean a link from their homepage, that is to be expected for 2-day old stories. The story is not receiving any special treatment - nothing different from the way any news story is treated. But the link to the story itself, that I provided in my post, still goes to nbcnews.com and still shows the same story.

angel12 . . . .
Basic logic: if an article is true at the time it is published, it is, quite obviously, NOT fake news.
Not if it is “true” because you did not check the story line first.

This only happened to NBC.

It is fake news angel12. Fake.

And even the editors follow-up (notice they NEEDED an editors follow-up) has partial truths.

Fake news by NBC. Propaganda by NBC.

Metis1 . . .
Ya know, what is so hypocritical is that some of the Trump defenders cite a bogus story from Breitbard (sic), which clearly was not true
Where is THAT Metis1?

And it still has the correction clearly stated, explaining the timeline of the facts
Does it still have the half-truths too? (That I already quoted)

Or did NBC change those yet?

As the editors clearly explained in their opening notes at the head of the article, the now-incorrect reporting is left as it was for transparency reasons so that the reader can see both the original story and the reason why the correction was necessary. If they had just quietly corrected the article without explanation or just took it down, you guys would have been all over them for trying to hide their mistakes. They made a wise, open, and transparent journalistic decision to leave all the data there along with the retraction.

More excuses for NBC. They “explained” even in half-truths a story that they did not check on before publishing that even other fake news outfits got (that part) correct.

Fake news by NBC. Propaganda by NBC.

Fake. News.

See how “Trump” did not visit the troops at “Christmastime” . . .

. . . And when we find out President Trump DOES visit the troops at Christmastime the fake news narrative (even the corrected version) was only partially true.
Christmastime begins at Christmas Eve. So publishing a ‘news’ story when Christmastime has just begun is exactly what fake news does. The front page lies are always corrected in a small, buried section.

Christmastime
It used to. Now Santa arrives at the end of the Thanksgiving day parade and gifts are normally given by Christmas day. The NBC editor has noted the confusion and has clarified that, until this year, recent Presidents had visited troops on Christmas day or days leading up to it.

There was nothing they could have checked.
That’s why nobody else made the same mistake right?

The excuses on behalf of fake news are never-ending.

Not true at all.

Unverified conjecture, attempting to be passed as “news” and when caught, a half-hearted correction laden with half-truths.

NBC fake news.

If you read the editor’s note, you will know.
No.
A story that requires an introduction to be read correctly is at best an example of poor journalism.
At worst it is an outright deception.

Of course, it is still Christmas.
So any reports of what has or has not been done are premature.
But why would I expect a professional journalist to know that.

I have a couple of questions on this.
If the president shows up in the middle East on the 26th, when did he board the plane?
How much planning was involved? I would think at least a few days went into moving him.
Where was the white house press corps during this trip?

If you ask someone with two apples how many apples they have and they say “Two,” and the next day you give them another apple you don’t get to call them a liar for saying they had two apples yesterday.
