Who are some of your favorite guitarists? I get stuck on youtube watching videos of guitar and it is an endless rabbit hole from one video to the next. Tommy Emmanuel is one of my favorites. His version of Amazing Grace is awesome. There is also a video of him playing Windy and Warm and Classical Gas in Seoul that is pretty awesome too.

Very good rendition of Amazing Grace. I have never heard Tommy Emmanuel’s music until now.

For a blues guitarist, Stevie Ray Vaughn definitely comes to mind as one of the best. Here is him playing with Albert King.

Chet Atkins is one of the best! I grew up listening to him with my grandpa. It reminds me of simpler times.

When it comes to greats, here is another one, Jerry Reed! 😉

This has nothing to do with guitarists, but it is so bizarre that it must be shared. Somehow ended up here from Roy Clark.

Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell, and that looks to be Gerard Depardieu.

John Petrucci (Dream Theater, Liquid Tension Experiment):

(if you want to skip to the “main” guitar section, it starts at ten minutes)

Marty Friedman (Megadeth, solo):

Tommi Iommi (Black Sabbath), Johnny Ramone (The Ramones), and “Fast” Eddie Clarke (Motorhead).

Jimmy Page
Mark Knoffler
Leadbelly
Steve Howe
Eddie Van Halen
David Gilmore
The Edge

These are the guys I usually play or try to emulate, have a Gibson SG, and a Fender Strat

Peace and God Bless

Andres Segovia.

Yes, Chet Atkins!

And Charo! She’s amazing.

And there is a young man name Caleb Erickson in our area of the country–he moved to Nashville when he turned 18 and is doing well, getting plenty of work–but we watched him grow up here, and he’s a wonderful singer, and plays fiddle, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, and GUITAR! Here’s a link, but keep in mind he was only 15 and obviously providing background music. When he plays all out, he’s wonderful!

Jimi Hendrix.

Also came to see if Eddie Van Halen was mentioned, left satisfied.
