I love Her so much!!!
I love Her so much!!!
^^^This is the image that inspired me to make my Mary sculpture, which I made as a protestant. I’m sure it played some small part in teaching me the importance of Mary. I want to do a new one now that I have a better understanding.
^^^^That one is beautiful. I imagine it’s nice to see our heavenly mother depicted in a way that honors your culture and ethnicity.

Is that Imelda Marcos posing as the Blessed Mother? That’s so strange. I’ve read she would do things like that to win sympathy amongst her people…
The site I got it from said that the statue has belonged to a family in the Philippines for 8 generations. Is that Imelda Marcos posing as the Blessed Mother? That’s so strange. I’ve read she would do things like that to win sympathy amongst her people…

I love this one. I don’t remember seeing it before.
Fantastic image. It really conveys what Mary was like- a handmaiden. She wasn’t rich or powerful or mighty. She was a simple woman who did a great thing.
It’s “The Virgin Of The Host” by Ingres c. mid 1800’s.I love this one. I don’t remember seeing it before.
