I’m enjoying looking at all of these beautiful pictures of our Holy Mother.

I love Her so much!!!

^^^This is the image that inspired me to make my Mary sculpture, which I made as a protestant. I’m sure it played some small part in teaching me the importance of Mary. I want to do a new one now that I have a better understanding.

The site I got it from said that the statue has belonged to a family in the Philippines for 8 generations.

Anyway, there is a statue, I wish I knew what it was called, perhaps She is atop the world, but, She is crushing the serpent’s…neck. I say that and not head because the head is reared up, fangs exposed, and seemingly gasping for air.

I LOVE that!

Fantastic image. It really conveys what Mary was like- a handmaiden. She wasn’t rich or powerful or mighty. She was a simple woman who did a great thing.
