The Avenger’s - when Thor bursts into the jet to take Loki and Cap comments about God not dressing like that. Also when Hulk ragdolls Loki at the end. Mind you my favorite character is Loki, but he deserved that.
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader- when Edmund and Lucy have to use their older brother and sisters weapons to slay the nightmare sea serpent. Also Eustace has a dragon (which was the scene in the books that got me into Narnia, which got me into everything else including my own faith)
The Lord of the Rings- depends on which character I’m focusing on at the moment- usually Frodo, Pippin, Aragorn or Legolas.
Harry Potter- I’ve always loved the part at the end where Harry saves Draco in the burning room of requirement and then it turns around to Narcissa willingly lying to Voldemort to be with her son again. Granted the movie has the Malfoy’s leaving where as the book is stronger because they’re staying there- which is actually a braver act.
Sorry, I have a redemption thing going for villains and both Draco and Loki (as portrayed by Tom Hiddleston) fall into it.
Also, never seen the Passion of Christ, and I’m not going too. I actually went into shock during the ending of Titanic watching all those people freeze and drown at the end of the movie. That’s also why I don’t watch movies about my patron saint Joan of Arc because she’s burned at the end. Saving Private Ryan’s beginning was hard for me too. I ended up turning my face away and just listening to it. Still, I decided to ask my priest if I should see Passion because I do like to see a good film once. (Why I sat through Private Ryan). He heard about what happened with Titanic and told me that I was one of the few people he believed didn’t have to watch the movie to understand everything Christ suffered on the cross.

“The Naked Gun” - Frank Drebin impersonates an opera singer and murders the national anthem at an Angels game, and then impersonates the home plate umpire.

Just reminded of some scenes from one of the Naked Gun movies. Can’t remember which.
One scene is in the Blues Bar. I can’t see it on TV, but when I saw it in the theater, on the walls were pictures of various mistakes. The ones I remember was the Skylab, with only one solar panel extended, and a Studebaker.
The other scene was at the Oscars. The bad guy put a bomb in one of the envelopes, and Leslie Nielsen has been trying to check all the envelopes before they’re opened, until finally the Best Picture is the last award to be given out. They cut to the TV announcer saying “Four of the pictures nominated did very well at the box office, but one didn’t do very well at all”. Nielsen grabs the envelope, checks it, and yells “It’s the bomb!” and the group in the audience stand up and start congratulating each other.

A serious one from Leslie Nielsen:
The “Id” attacks the perimeter fence in Forbidden Planet. A terrifying scene. Nielsen’s acting is surprisingly fitting as the captain in this film. The finale is also sensational.
“That thing out there, Morbius, IT’S YOU!”
The special effects, created by the Walt Disney Company(on hire for MGM), are spectacular.

the scene where the woman with the 12 years long “issue of blood” is healed when she touches Christ. This is supposed to be a very serious moment in the story,
but the woman is portrayed by, of all people, Shelly Winters - with THAT accent!
She walks up and plants both the palms of both hands squarely in the middle of
Jesus’s back. Now, the “issue of blood” was not from her palms. Nonetheless, she then looks at her PALMS and exclaims, in that accent, I’m cured or, the way it
sounded, “Omm KYOO-WUDD!!!”
also an unintentionally-campy moment in an otherwise very good film about Jesus.

Brilliant scenes!! It tugs at my heartstrings every time I see the silver candlesticks remain in Valjean’s life right to the end… and nobody better to play the Bishop that Colm Wilkinson!
Also the scene where Valjean has just been spared by the Bishop… oh the raw emotion “…he called me Brother… he told me that I have a soul… how does he know?..”
