“Ben” was popular, but “The Morning After” was more popular, and beat out “Ben” for the Best Song from a Movie Oscar.

😂 I had no idea that song from that movie! My parents loved that film. Me, not so much. I just couldn’t bring myself to care enough about the characters to worry about the outcome.

I remember really liking the songs but it took me decades to see the movies. I was pretty much forbidden to see any movies other than Disney and similar until I moved out of the house. I managed to talk my parents into letting me see “Star Wars”, “Sgt Pepper”, and “Oh God” and that was pretty much all. The first weekend I moved out I went to see “Private Benjamin” with my new boyfriend as it was playing on campus for cheap or free for college orientation weekend, and I seriously wondered if I would go to Hell for watching an R-rated movie.

I prefer the classic Who theme.

Also love the theme of “The Phoenix” TV series.

Hey Arnold had the best cartoon soundtrack ever

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Oh for shame! 😱

The best cartoon soundtrack ever absolutely MUST go to Phineas and Ferb. I mean seriously, how can you possibly top “Hey Ferb” or “B-U-S-T-E-D” or “In the Empire”? Oh, and don’t forget the poetic beauty of “Somebody Give Me a Grade.”

I liked the Dino Spumoni episodes.
All the jokes and references sailed right over the heads of the target audience 😆
I used to love “Hey, Arnold” back when I had cable. Sadly, I don’t have access to the show these days.

Did you get in? 😃

I’m a mezzo so it was a challenge that just never seemed worth it.

My favorite piece to sing was “Nobles Seigneurs, Salut!” with all of its vocal gymnastics and saucy texts – the character is laying a trap for his mistress (it’s a “pants” role).

Funny thing is, even though I could never master “O Mio Babbino Caro,” I was perfectly comfortable with “Nobles Seigneurs” with it high B flat and high C no problem. 😂 Voices are funny.

Oh, yes, but I had already sung opera in Europe. Everyone has to audition, though. Only fair.

I am a lyric coloratura, and I love it! I would not want to be anything else. People hear me practicing, but they rarely hear me speak. I can’t even get married because that would mean a family and talking! For me, my voice is a gift from G-d, so I like to sing sacred music, but it’s not always possible. I can’t cook, can’t bake, don’t have a green thumb despite loving flowers, and not athletic, etc., so I have to sing! It’s about all I have. That, and I can speak several languages, when I speak. Mostly, I just read or sing them. 😉

Good luck with your musical career. Do you sing any where now?
