Fed up with irreverence

I wish there was some sort of dress code like at St. Peter’s Basilica. A tennis dress (or similar) isn’t appropriate for mass. Ladies, I shouldn’t see your entire panty clad bottom when you are in front of me and you bow.

Oh modesty is a whole other issue but that is another reason I prefer the TLM because generally the men and women dress very modestly indeed.

I love your post on this topic, rwoehmke… on the other hand … there IS a problem of irreverence at some churches and sometimes fighting the good fight is the answer…

I also think discerning, with the help of prayer and a good spiritual adviser on which battles should be fought and how, might be helpful to consider.

Need to ask myself, is this my own intolerance and do I need to be honest in answering this question…or is there truly real irreverence going on…

I read somewhere that if Martin Luther had tried to make changes while still a member within the Catholic church instead of doing what he did, that things would be much different now…
