Not at all. There is an interest in not creating impediments to voting.

Maximus1 . . .
There is an interest in not creating impediments to voting.
I have told you before, this is a partial truth.

There is an interest in not creating impediments to real actual verified American citizens licitly voting.

And only non-citizens should be subjected to voter suppression. But that’s not what we are seeing. Just look at Wisconsin’s recent election.

In my case, no one knows. They never turned up despite requiring signature confirmation (had made it as far as the Post Office nearest the IRS destination in Kansas City, MO), and they said I can open a missing mail case which I just did to help do a deeper investigation, but also said if the mail appeared damaged, they would like have destroyed it. Ultimately, it seemingly was of no value to pay for guaranteed delivery and signature confirmation if they can just say :my bad, we lost it."
So, when is there going to be some accountability for the USPS? Seems they are answerable to no one – or think they are.

There is none. What am I going to do as a citizen that will be worth any effort? The best I could hope for is a refund of the amount I paid for signature confirmation. They lose proprietary company financial information, showing my company’s EIN, address, revenue, net profit, expenses - everything, and there isn’t a thing you can do about it.

And good luck calling the IRS for anything tax related like I did to inquire if they somehow received my taxes. Amazingly, commercial industry and banking can work from home, but the IRS literally has a recording that say “there are no humans here anymore. Use the automated system until we decide to come back.”

Then you agree with me? Since obviously I only spoke about eligable voters.

I only spoke about eligable voters.
To the left (that puts ideas in all of our heads) “eligible voters” means a lot of different things.

That is WHY I explicitly stated what I favor.

Here it is again.

Is it any wonder? The IRS has always been dehumanizing.

Automated phone systems are generally a pain in the keister. Some of them won’t even give you the option of eventually speaking with a live person. I’ve had some go through the usual recorded spiel, waiting for the “to talk to an agent, press …”, only to have it break the connection and hang up on me.

I strongly dislike those systems, but we’re stuck with them, for the most part.

The only thing worse is when you do eventually get through to a live person, and they give you the runaround. In that case, I might as well just talk to a recording, for all the help they (don’t) offer.

You were wise to make copies of your documents.

Legally, eligible voters means a specific thing. I am an attorney, there is a definition.
I read what you wrote. Take the ideas out. Read the definition.
Do not create impediments unless you have evidence of necessity. Then only employing the least burden possible on the franchise.

You asked me to clarify.
You don’t agree with my definition of who should vote apparently.

Here again is what I said (for any late comers) . . .
There is an interest in not creating impediments to real actual verified American citizens licitly voting.
I stand by it.

I guess Maximus and I are both going to have to live with that.
