More aptly, a racist couple wants a cake from an african-american baker. One emblazoned with the confederate flag and the words “Desegregation was a mistake.”

I believe it was Amazon that refused to sell people confederate flags any more. They can do that, presumably because folks can take their business elsewhere, but Christian bakers cannot. Odd, that./QUOTE

Why do you believe that that is a more apt comparison than a rascist baker and a black couple?

Gay people contribute to building this society and they give birth and raise children too.
Correction: -]Gay/-] people contribute to society. They contribute because they are people, not because they are “gay”.
Ah, so you being heterosexual is a choice? How interesting. Do tell more, please.
My attraction may not be a choice. But my actions are. I choose not to sleep around, even if I am very attracted to some people whom I could sleep with, because I make a conscious choice not to engage in behavior which is spiritually and even physically damaging to myself and others.

BTW, why presume that I am heterosexual? What or whom I am attracted to does not change my argument one bit.
Because of the likes of you and your propaganda? 😃
Another presumption! And circular logic, too!

Something like this:
Gays are depressed because they are oppressed.
Gays are oppressed and so they are depressed.

Your assumptions beg the question. It is simply a reflection of your ideology. It is not well reasoned nor does it consider all the relevant facts.
PS I find it extremely ironic that Christians don’t mind having religion (a pure social myth\construct) protected by non-discrimination laws yet demand to remove sexual orientation(a biological trait) from the same list.
Yet more assumption and prejudice! You think our beliefs are myths. And yet it is secular society which keeps on ramming their own myths down our throats. It is telling that you think belief in God, which most people throughout all of human history have had and still have is just a “social construct” or myth. But the last few decades of social opinion, on the other hand, is to be taken as authoritative. Never mind that most of it fails any kind of serious logical analysis.
And if we add to that the fact that the history of Christians and gay people is the same as the history of Nazis and Jews (burning alive, executions, tortures, prisons, persecution for hundreds and hundreds of years etc) then it starts to look really ugly.
You know what’s ugly? We are. There is something wrong with us. All of us. And that is why we need God’s help to become healthy again. We human beings have been rather nasty to each other since time immemorial. Of course, nothing compares to the bloodshed of the 20th century- with atheistic political movements and wars that had nothing to do with religion. The more we stray from God, the worse we become.

Humans have a tendency of persecuting others who are not like themselves. It’s not a good thing. And I don’t agree in the slightest with those who insult and abuse those who identify as being “gay”.

And for the same reason, I don’t agree with lying to those people and reaffirming them that they are right to choose a lifestyle that will bring them great suffering and goes against their nature. That’s not loving. That’s the opposite of loving.

If you really care about truth, look into this matter a bit more deeply. Maybe you’ll see that there’s more to it than what society is telling you.

For most gay people, living in the closet and concealing an important part of themselves is much worse and leads to much greater suffering than coming out and being honest with themselves and others about their sexual orientation. Psychologists have found that the most damaging period in a gay person’s life is usually the period between when they realize that they’re gay at about age 12 or 13 and the time that they finally come out several years later, sometimes even six or seven years later. During that period, unlike other people who experience minority stress (i.e. chronically high levels of stress faced by members of stigmatized minority groups), gay youth do not have have any support from either family members or friends. They often live alone with the fear that their families will disown them or that their friends will reject them because they’re gay.

I’ll play along. Let’s choose both. Should a baker be able to refuse service for any reason involving not wanting to participate in the creation of something that offends them?

I why can Amazon refuse to sell me a confederate flag (not that I’ve ever wanted one )?

Different case, similar issue, wherein a Court re-writes prior legislation to suit its purpose, thereby taking over the legislative power:

Did the 7th Circuit Just Rule that Christians are Bigots?
Presumptions about what legislators “would do” today should have no bearing on judicial interpretations. At most, judges consider the intention of the legislators in framing the given statute. This judge is a dope. The system is normally resilient in that appeals see wiser heads correct mistakes, and legislators address recognized gaps.

I agree that young people with same-sex attraction should be able to confide with others he or she trusts and be treated lovingly and supported. I do not agree, because I am a Catholic and because I believe in Natural Law, that this means a person must fall into a homosexual lifestyle and adopt the “gay” identity and that others should “support” this young person’s decision to go into a life of grave sin and severe consequences for his or her health.
