Anything more is as anti-American as the most passionate communist.
Well, I for one, have learned on CAF that you are incorrect. It is perfectly Christian to permanently imprison people without trial, as long as those people have a different political ideology than you. And especially if those people don’t like arbitrary police violence.

In Dunaway v. New York the Supreme Court considered whether police violated the Fourth and 14th Amendments when–lacking probable cause–they took a person into custody, transported him to a police station and detained him for interrogation. Once again, six justices found that police violated the U.S. Constitution with such actions.

“Federal Police ‘Invade’ Portland”

 - Yeah, like Lincoln “invaded” Ft. Sumter after it was fired upon.

Per Trump … Lincoln acted faster … Trump got help there first.

Hey … whatever happened to that civilian crowd that fired on the Ft. Sumter, SC fort and killed people and started the Civil War? Anything?

Let’s see if Google knows (or will let us know).
I may report back. Or would that derail the thread? 🤔

There is an intimidation factor that I think they are trying to achieve by wearing that kind of uniform. There is no need for it.
It’s also done to try and show that the protestors are equivalent to foreign invaders.
I have less problem with this than when the Democrat Convention took place in Boston when John Kerry ran in 2004 and all protesters were put in cages down a side alley.

The streets of Boston were loaded with Black Swat teams military uniforms with facial gear and bomb sniffing dogs on every street. No one was allowed to stop. That was very scary to see. I was in the city at the time and they were everywhere including the T stations.

Permits were given out for protests and they were only allowed to protest in a 7 high cages side by side way out of the city line. They were called free speech zones. (Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)

The anti abortion protest permit of John Kerry’s house was given but then revoked. When challenged, the court upheld that prolifers could not protest in front of his home. How things have changed.
