Thank you for praying for me, Belle. How are you and the baby doing? How exciting for you! God bless you.
Much love,
Much love,
Galilea,
That was a beautiful prayer! I have a question: why do you think God is letting (allowing me) to be sick for so long? It’s been 21 years of nothing but illness after illness - and I’m not talking like a cold, flu, etc. These are debilitating illnesses. I would like to share some happy timees with my family. Why isn’t God letting me do this? I wonder …
I am also praying for you. God bless you!
When I listen to man, it depresses me. when I listen to God, it edifies me. Some comparison!Thank you po18 and all those of you who have prayed for me. At this moment, I do not feel like offering up my suffering. I am facing a major surgery (going back to an ileostomy, along with another intestinal surgery). Also, I awaiting biopsy reports on the intestines. My dr. didn’t sound too promising. I know I will not be able to withstand the intestinal surgery. I have had it before and it was so painful! I have had too much physical pain to be able to do this again. I am hoping that God will just let whatever happens, happens. I looked at the surgical outcome (in pictures) and I cried, just remembering what I went through years ago. I don’t have a supportive husband which doesn’t help at all. I just want God to stop testing me for awhile. I cannot do this! Thank you all for listening.and

You can share happy times if only you decide to. The power is yours, given you by the Lord. I believe that He desires you to share joy with your family, for as long as you live. Just like love, it remains your decision.Galilea,

Believe it or don’t, I have been a chronic complainer all my life. UNTIL, the Lord gave me something to complain about! Now, I no longer complain. Go figure!po:
NO! I did NOT say that I have NOT offered my suffering for 21 years! I said I’ve had illnesses for 21 years. Right now, I don’t feel like offering it up. And yes, Bishop Sheen wouldn’t be too happy with me. But I do believe that the Lord knows the heavy burden I carry and understands my “feelings” at the moment. I have 2 kids (16 & 19) at home yet. I have a husband (ahem!) that I need to think of. I have household chores, running the kids around for sports, academics, etc. I have to grocery shop, shop for clothing, keep the peace in the HOUSE! That’s a big one. Keeping the peace in the family is extremely difficult. So, po18, I don’t think it’s as easy to “offer it up” as perhaps you “sound”. Padre Pio didn’t look too happy when he suffered with the stigmata. He looked downright ticked off and he talked that way in the confessional as well! So, “I think” the Lord works with our personalities. You, dear friend, just happen to be an especially chipper man who can tolerate severe suffering better than I. I am not being a smart-aleck when I say that either. I truly mean you are better at this than I. You will be greatly rewarded! You are always in my prayers! God bless and please keep praying for me.
Sweetie, what a question to ask someone, who is not even at the concious level of the donkey, that on his back took Jesus into Jerusalem!!! That donkey was at the right place and at the right time, prepared to serve the Lord, when it was asked of him/her, and to top it off, the calm obedience in which it behaved for the Lord, it is still to be admired. To this day, the Good Lord cannot get something from me, without me kicking and jumping first like a wild beast. Sooo dear one, not even in my wildest dreams, could I ever even have a glimpse of the misteries the Creator has in His eternal wisdom for you.Galilea,

Mom, It’s only mystery because God is mystery Himself, only by faith we may accept it although we don’t understand it completely.Galilea,
