Hillary might be shocked at some of these poll numbers too. I think she feels she knocked it out of the park last night.
Yeah she knocked it out of the park stylistically but her substance was lacking. It was just the same tripe she has peddled for years. No one is impressed and frankly I am beginning to think due to the polls, the country as a whole is sick and tired of shrill Hillery.

And what about the birther tripe that Donald Trump has been peddling for years?

Online polls are meaningless. Too many ways for people to vote multiple times in them.

Bankruptcy courts are ordinarily reluctant to impair creditors unless there is absolutely no way to save the company without it.
But it seems any company can file for bankruptcy if it owes money. A company even with positive cash flows can do it. One can always claim some hardship. There was a change in the bk code under GWB that made things harder for individuals but not corporations. I assume Trump filed for corporate bankruptcy in most of his cases. In one case, he simply didn’t make his interest payment, according to the first article I posted. How many companies can get away with that kind of stiffing?

As the New York Times has pointed out:
His comments [this morning] attacking Ms. Machado recalled his frequent practice, during the Republican primaries and much of the general election campaign, of bickering harshly with political bystanders, sometimes savaging them in charged language that ended up alienating voters. In the past, he has made extended personal attacks on the Muslim parents of an Army captain killed in Iraq and on a Hispanic federal judge.
He’s liable to keep his reputation for being misogynistic in the news by continuing to attack Ms. Machado just like he kept the story of the Muslim gold star parents in the news by continuing to attack them. He’s just digging himself a big hole that will set back his campaign and any momentum he had coming into the debate.

I don’t understand what you’re talking about when you say, “The birth certificate was obviously changed since Lolo Soetoro is not his father.” What does Lolo Soetoro have to do with Obama’s birth certificate? A photo of his long form birth certificate is available online which says that his father was “Barak Hussein Obama,” that he was born in Honolulu and that the information on the birth certificate was accepted for registration by the state of Hawaii on 8 August 1961.

The claim that Obama received college financial aid in the U.S. as a “foreign student from Indonesia” has been investigated by Snopes.com and was found to be false:

The original long form would have been changed to say Lolo Soetoro in case adoptive parents wanted to keep the status of their adopted child a secret, so there shouldn’t be an original long form piece of paper with Obama Sr’s name on it, but we’re talking about the govt, so they can produce anything they can imagine.

Snopes is just another privately run media outlet. I feel sorry for anyone who puts faith in the truth in one place. Snopes is wrong: factcheck.org/2009/04/snopescom/
In the land of moral relativism, the Truth is whatever you can convince enough people to believe.

And Trump wore a blue tie instead of his traditional red one, perhaps to tone down his aggressiveness. Funny too that blue is associated with Democrats and red with Republicans.

Maybe for the next debate Trump will wear a red dress and Hillary a suit with a blue tie. Why not make a statement? And role reversal is fashionable nowadays.
:rotfl:

Hillary already wears the pantsuits. maybe Donald could borrow a pageant dress from a previous contestant! we would be paying attention to more than the issues.

Methinks he’s frustrated by how the post-debate analysis is going and he’s taking it out on poor Ms. Machado.

I still don’t understand what you’re talking about. Since Obama Sr was President Obama’s father, why shouldn’t his name be on the long form birth certificate as the father?

(I must admit that I haven’t been following the birther conspiracy theory, so I don’t know what all the arguments are).

Why would the original long form have been changed? Obama Sr was his legal father at birth, thus he’d be on the original long form. They don’t go back and retroactively change the original document

Also the fact this issue is still an “issue” in some people’s minds to the point we’re even discussing it is insane.

I do think that issue will hurt him with women and Latino voters.

I’m beginning to wonder what it would take to get the birthers to give up. Nothing, apparently. It can’t be done.

Despite there being, in fact, not one iota of evidence, not a single reason to believe (or at least not a rational reason), that Barack Obama is not a natural-born citizen of the United States, and fully qualified to be President of the United States, it seems that some birthers still exist. Even after Donald Trump declared, unambiguously, that Barack Obama was born in the United States.

And, by the way, you’re just flat-out wrong about alteration of birth certificates in the case of remarriage or adoption.

At this point who cares where Barack Obama was born.

Being a natural-born citizen only makes him eligible to President of the United States – it doesn’t make him qualified.

I didn’t bother with the Republicrat debate last night I as I don’t think either one should be President.
