But it seems any company can file for bankruptcy if it owes money. A company even with positive cash flows can do it. One can always claim some hardship. There was a change in the bk code under GWB that made things harder for individuals but not corporations. I assume Trump filed for corporate bankruptcy in most of his cases. The original long form would have been changed to say Lolo Soetoro in case adoptive parents wanted to keep the status of their adopted child a secret, so there shouldn’t be an original long form piece of paper with Obama Sr’s name on it, but we’re talking about the govt, so they can produce anything they can imagine.
