What is Mr. Trump’s impression of the debate?

cnn.com/2016/09/27/politics/hillary-clinton-donald-trump-debate-reaction/index.html

Yes, it was Lester Holt’s fault or the microphone’s fault and Ms. Machado really was fat and the worst Miss Universe contestant ever…
I’m sorry Lester was so very tough on Mr. Trump. It clearly had him shaking in his shoes - all those big, hard questions! Goodness knows he won’t face that kind of toughness should he (God forbid) become Presidentā€¦šŸ¤·

Where is Mr. Trump’s opposition? He says, ā€œEither do it or don’t do it.ā€ And then says, "Perhaps he shouldn’t be doing it yet. And perhaps we should be waiting for the United Nations.ā€

ā€œPerhapsā€ does not sound like very solid opposition, especially since he had just said, ā€œEither do it or don’t do itā€ which sounds rather non-committal, one way or the other. His whole statement sounds kind of wishy washy. It’s not a whole lot better than "Yeah, I guess soā€ from the year before.
He wasn’t a politician then, so that was his polite way of saying, I don’t like it! This is not hard to understand.

Everything Mr. Trump says is hard to understand…even though he has all the best words.

Also, I find it personally adorable to see the word ā€œpoliteā€ mentioned within a sentence containing his name.

Finally convinced myself to vote Trump as lesser of two evils.

I think Hillary clearly won the debate last night. Trump won the first 1/3 and she won the rest of it. She was prepared and Trump was not. He was backpedaling and defending himself the whole time…guy drank more water than Rubio who he made fun of for that reason. Trump missed several key opportunities to hammer her on emails and other scandals and he let it slip away.

Also, the questions were terrible and it’s clear Holt and NBC are in the tank for Clinton. He kept challenging Trump on Iraq…well, Trump wasn’t a elected official so his Iraq position is meaningless. Hillary did vote for the war and helped drive us into that ditch and she should be the one called on it.

Do you think Trump was trying to play nice on the advice of his handlers? He seemed to me to be fighting against himself. Maybe next debate, we’ll see the ā€œrealā€ Trump again.
Oh, that was the ā€œrealā€ (as much as one can call a lifetime entertainer real) Mr. Trump. But I agree that Kelly Conway is trying to put his alpha-nonsense in a vice in an effort to benefit him on the national stage. Didn’t work out so well for him, I’m afraid.

I think that was the strategy. Hillary was trying very hard to get under Trump’s skin and get him to make personal attacks. He didn’t.

This debate wasn’t about the issues. No one tuned into the debate to find out how either candidate stood on the issues. We already know where they stand.

For Hillary this debate was all about making Trump look un-presidential. We can debate whether she succeeded in this goal or not.
Clearly, she did.

I agree. I am sure they will have him watch his performance over and over. he didn’t know what to expect - now he knows! she will play as dirty as she needs to.
Yep…before this experience, Trump had NO IDEA how to play dirty in politics. But now he KNOWS - the scales have fallen from his eyes. Next time, it will different.

Yes, there are no ā€œgood old daysā€. Life has never been better in this country than now – when you look at everybody on average, not just privileged white folks. And certainly I don’t look for the ā€œgood old daysā€ either (and I’m white). Life has never been better and more exciting.
While I do believe that there are "good old days, I agree 100% with the arch of your comment. I love this country and our best days remain in front of us.

According to this:

The CNN poll is is +15 Democrat. It’s ridiculous… it’s almost laughable. The Democrat turnout was +6 in 2012, and President Barack Obama, I’m guessing (please correct me if I am wrong), probably had far higher favourable ratings in 2012 than Hillary Clinton is favoured currently.
Not once in this entire campaign, has Hillary ever been behind Trump in the polls. That won’t change on Election Day.

A vote for Clinton also is a vote to put an impeached President back in the White House. Even if its only as First, um, Dude.

he certainly wasn’t tough on Hillary!

I was actually thinking about this, myself.

It has been in the back of my mind.

Trump’s comments about Ms. Machado are disgusting.

Just to clarify this for everyone. Trump insulted the woman, he was called out for it, the woman claimed to have developed eating disorders after the contest and Trump insulted her appearance and CRITICIZED HER WEIGHT. I mean, it’s not as bad as telling a suicidal person that their life really isn’t worth living and they would be better off dead, but it’s along the same lines. Why don’t more people care about this???

I can understand people voting for him to keep Hillary out, but the mind boggles how anyone could WANT to vote for this man.
I suspect they care as much as the fact that Vincent Foster (former Deputy White House Council) committed suicide shortly after Mrs Clinton dressed him down in a large White House meeting during her husband’s first term. He was supposedly her friend and mentor and was aware that he suffered from depression, but that did not stop her from railing at him and saying he was a ā€œlittle hick town lawyer that wasn’t ready for the big timesā€ in-front of a large number of White House staffers.

I’m not defending his comments, but only pointing out that both of them seem to have little care for others or how their comments might impact them. Both of them have pretty nasty tempers too (Hillary is well know for violent outbursts). The major difference is she seems to keep it hidden behind her fake smiles.

Who won the debate? Who cares. The US is going to lose either way. I feel like I’m left to stick my hand in a meat grinder or jumping into a nuclear furnace. Trump may not be pleasant, but I’ll take losing a hand over jumping into a nuclear inferno.

Except when the job was completed, Trump wrote a letter of recommendation for the architect whom Clinton mentioned Trump stiffed. In the letter, Trump praised the man as a man of vision and energy and said that he would recommend him to anyone who needs a top-notch architect for their project.

rawstory.com/2016/09/watch-unpaid-architect-explains-how-trump-lied-and-flattered-his-way-out-of-paying-100k-debt/
From reading this article two things strike me. First, the architect says he was ā€˜partially along the way’. I don’t know exactly what he means by that but in many business deals, particularly in construction, you get paid as work progresses. There is nothing odd about that. Second, the architect seems to suggest Trump convinced him to reduce his charges. If the guy reduced his charges then there isn’t an unpaid bill. If the guy reduced his charges with an understanding there would be more work well that isn’t the same as not being paid. That kind of negotiation happens all the time. That Trump didn’t deliver more work could be for lots of reasons. And that is the business world. It’s also the political world. How many promises has Clinton not come through on?

The woman was a beauty contestant winner. Her weight is relevant. Her looks are relevant. She is judge literally on her looks. She chose to be judged on her looks. It is silly for a woman pursuing such an activity to claim to be offended. People in entertainment, fashion and beauty contests are judged by looks and told if they don’t meet standards of attractiveness. Hillary has lots of support from actors and others in Hollywood. So this is a silly vein of criticism from her.

And who is Mr. Trump one flesh with? I would think that it would be with his first wife Ivana or is it with his second wife Marla? And here Mr. Trump threatened to talk about Bill Clinton’s indiscretions in the debates even though he cheated on his first two wives.

Frankly to be honest with you I’ve been astonished that on a Catholic forum so much is made of the Clinton marriage in light of Trump’s own marital indiscretions and multiple marriages. And I’ve heard Trump supporters elsewhere criticize Hillary Clinton as an enabler when she has stayed in her 1 marriage. And now his threat. I heard he respected Chelsea Clinton too much to bring it up last night but that he might in the next debate. It’s mindboggling.
