Not once in this entire campaign, has Hillary ever been behind Trump in the polls. That won’t change on Election Day.
I cannot endure your words anymore. Fine, you worship Clinton, I can understand that. What I cannot understand is how can you try to play God here, in a Catholic forum. it is blasphemy.

The woman was a beauty contestant winner. Her weight is relevant. Her looks are relevant. She is judge literally on her looks. She chose to be judged on her looks. It is silly for a woman pursuing such an activity to claim to be offended. People in entertainment, fashion and beauty contests are judged by looks and told if they don’t meet standards of attractiveness. Hillary has lots of support from actors and others in Hollywood. So this is a silly vein of criticism from her.
Heres Machados description of the situation from when she was going through the situation:
“I was anorexic and bulimic, but almost all of us are,” Machado says without so much as a blink. “When I was preparing for Miss Universe, it was an obsession for me to not gain weight. By the time I won, I was actually recovering. But the year leading to it, I didn’t eat at all. And whatever I ate, I threw up. I weighed 116 pounds when I won. I was skeletal.”

The three weeks of events leading to the Universe pageant were torture, she says, because of all the meals she had to dodge. “There were lunches and dinners and just food and more food. I had to pretend to have headaches and menstrual cramps and anything I could think of to not come down from my hotel room.”

According to American Medical Association charts, she was nine pounds below a healthy weight when she won. In fact, it was when her weight was reported to have started ballooning, and the rumors started flying about her losing her crown if she didn’t drop some weight, that she actually was within the healthy range.

By February, Newsweek and People were saying she had swelled to more than 160 pounds.

“That’s ridiculous,” says Machado. “I gained 19 pounds. And now most of it is off again.”

Donald Trump, a partner in the company that purchased the Miss Universe Pageant early this year, himself told People she put on more than that. “When you win a beauty pageant,” he said, “people don’t think you’re going to go from 118 to 160 in less than year, and you really have an obligation to stay in a perfect physical state.”

But don’t get Machado started about Trump. She’s still fuming about what he lured her into at the end of January."

At the time of her crowning she was an underweight, anorexic/bulemic woman. She did not gain 160 pounds as Trump continues to state, but he did humiliate her when she she reached, a healthy weight during her reign as Miss Universe. I dont see how its unfair to criticize Trump regarding both his Miss Universe/Miss America business and his treatment of women. Of all of his business ventures I truly pray that that would be one that would go bankrupt. I consider it no better than the restaurant business Hooters. It treats women as pieces of meat and objectifies them.

This was uncalled for on a Catholic forum. Episcopalians are Christian and worship Jesus and it is not blasphemy to give a view on how someone thinks the election will play out.

Not true. there have been a few polls that have had Trump leading for a time.
A few polls is not the same as most or even representative of an average of multiple polls. Nor are nationwide ones representative of the Electoral College.

Please, don’t play fool. How long has she been here? You should know better than me.

Then do you agree with the option that Trump won the first debate?

In addition to Mexicans, I think that Mr. Trump has a problem with overweight people, too. In addition to calling Ms. Machado Miss Piggy, here’s an interview of Mr. Trump by Howard Stern in 1997 in which Trump calls her an “eating machine”:
Stern announces the issue: “The Miss Universe, it turns out, the woman who won last year, blows up to a fat pig. I mean, like obese.”
Trump laughs in the background.
Stern: “Most people would have fired her, because she broke the rules. Mr Trump goes in there and he says “listen you, I’m not going to fire you, but you better get skinny, you better lose some weight.”
Stern adds: “You whipped this fat slob into shape. I don’t know how you did it. I see all these diet plans, everything else. God bless you. You whipped her into shape, and you held the whole pageant together. Congratulations.”
Trump responds: “Well, that was an amazing one. She went from 118 to almost 170.”
Stern: “And you got her right down again to 118, didn’t you?”
Trump: “Well, she’s going to be there. She’s probably 145 or something.”
Trump adds: “It was an amazing phenomena. She weighed 118 when she won… she was as beautiful a woman as I’ve ever seen. She gained about 55 pounds in a period of nine months. She was like an eating machine.”
“What does a girl eat in less than a year to gain [that]?” Stern asks.
“I think she ate a lot of everything,” replies Trump.

I think Trump’s just prejudiced against overweight people (or those he perceives to be overweight since I’m not sure that Ms. Machado was really overweight). In the debate when talking about the culprit behind recent cyberattacks, he said: “It could be Russia, but it could also be China. It could also be lots of other people. It also could be somebody sitting on their bed that weighs 400 pounds, okay?”:

I dont think that woman was overweight at all
I think Trump is a liar. We can easily evaluate the ridiculousness of his accusations through simple math. If this woman gained 55 pounds in 9 months, through basic math we can determine that he is accusing her of gaining 4.9 pounds/day. 1 pound is 3500 calories. To gain 55 pounds in 9 months that would mean that she would have needed to be eating 17,150 calories/day, everyday for nine months straight. Which is ludicrous, and I just dont believe him.

I agree. I think he was exaggerating which is certainly not a surprise. And of course the whole conversation between Mr. Trump and Howard Stern was totally offensive, two men going on and on about Ms. Machado’s weight in a very obnoxious way. Mr. Trump certainly didn’t seem to object to the truly horrible things that Mr. Stern said about Ms. Machado (“fat pig,” “fat slob”), laughing about it all.

**Donald Trump boasts after first debate against Clinton: ‘I didn’t want to embarrass her’
Donald Trump has told a crowd of 7,500 that he was holding back during the first presidential debate with Hillary Clinton because he did not want to embarrass her.
He insisted that every poll showed him winning the debates but cited only internet surveys to prove this; every scientific poll taken in the aftermath of the debate showed a majority of viewers believing the Democratic nominee had won.
The Republican nominee’s unhappiness with coverage of his widely panned performance showed. Three times in the course of a rally in Florida, Trump called out “the corrupt corporate media” and gestured towards his supporters to turn towards the press pen to boo, hiss and even, in one instance, shout “go to hell”.**
Trump constantly revisited different moments in the debate and told of how, before taking the stage, “I took a deep breath and pretended I was talking to my family.” He recounted what he felt were his best lines during the debate – like, “You are experienced but it’s bad experience” – and touted how he had done well on the issue of trade and exposed Clinton’s “real positions” on Nafta, which he described as “the single worst deal you’ll ever see”.
He even criticised Lester Holt, the debate moderator, whom Trump described as “the emcee”, for challenging him when he praised stop and frisk, a controversial police tactic that involved New York police officers stopping pedestrians without a warrant, asking them questions and checking them for weapons. A federal judge ruled in 2013 that the practice was unconstitutional as it disproportionately targeted African Americans and Latinos. Trump insisted: “I also explained last night stop and frisk was constitutional. The emcee argued with me, taking up the time. Law enforcement does stop and frisk every day.”
Trump also re-litigated his false claim that he had opposed the Iraq war from the beginning, asking the crowd for approval. “And does everybody believe me, I was against going into Iraq?” he asked the crowd.

I really hope that Trumpers are not so biased as to believe Mr Trump on this.

He is getting more pathetic by the day.

Donald, you lost the debate mate. Just face up to it and be a man about it rather than lashing out at all and sundry!

The thing I hate most about Mr Trump is that its never his fault. Always other people to blame.

I don’t disagree with you, but Hillary is not very good at taking blame either. Of course, that is one reason why I will not be voting for either one of them.

For a minute I thought you were talking about Obama.🙂
