Oh my
!!! I can’t imagine what your FMIL must be like normally if she gets this unhinged with a wedding…If my MIL had pulled this, I would have reconsidered marrying, honestly. Because in-laws can put such a stamp on your marriage, they can cause such problems…and wait until grandchildren arrive, oh my…that’s when it really starts! We moved across country TWICE (second time when they moved near us…) because they are lovely people, but very controlling and treat us like 10-year-olds…Now we see them 6 times a year and talk on the phone maybe once a week (used to be daily calls and 5-day visits every month!) and it’s so much better! Stand firm now, and make sure your dh is on your side, I saw my BIL’s 19-year relationship (12 of which married) break up because of my in-laws and my other BIL, his girlfriends never last as they get sick of the interference…Me? I just keep a polite distance, and pray for them. Thankfully, my in-laws are good, kind and decent people-just very controlling…with yours I don’t think I would have lasted this long!
Anyway, hope you have a great day on the 24th and I’ll say a prayer for you both!
