Amen! I look forward to the day when these people living in the PA have given up terrorism. I have no doubt they will be blessed beyond measure if they do.

You missed this portion, apparently: "Jordan and Egypt occupied the other parts of the territory assigned by the partition resolution to the Palestinian Arab State which did not come into being.

In the 1967 war, Israel occupied the remaining territory of Palestine, until then under** Jordanian and Egyptian** control (the West Bank and Gaza Strip)"

Like I said, these are former Jordanians and Egytpians.

No one here supports terrorism. MOST Palestinians don’t support terrorism. They voted for Hamas because they are hungry.

Starving people to get your political way is an untenable position from where I sit.

Okay. This last one. Call them what you want. They were the people who lived there for generations. They were displaced and treated inhumanely. And I’m beginning to get the idea that aren’t very happy about it.

I’ve yet to read Israel is trying to starve anyone. I’ve Iread they are preventing traffic on certain roads in/out of the PA for security reasons. Considering the record of Hamas and the terrorism of the last 20 years. I don’t blame them.

That’s exactly the campaign Hamas did run. They were the ones there feeding, educating and providing welfare while the corrupt Fatah robbed them blind. And since Hamas had been under a cease fire for so long the Palestinians didn’t see them as terrorist supporters; they saw them as social providers.

Interesting. I wonder how much more Hamas might have done for these people had they encouraged the growing of food or replacing bomb making with creating and economy.

Till Hamas gives up terrorism and acknowledges Israel’s right to exists, there will be nothing but grief for these people.
 
Looks to me like they voted for Hamas because they are terrorists… why else would soemone vote for a known terrorist?

The Israeli army on a daily basis kills Palestinians indiscriminately…, but, you don’t see this on the news…

To use examples of those killed by the Israeli army I use two separate cases in Bethlehem alone where you had a 17 year old altar-boy (Johnny Thaljieh) who in just walking out of St. Catherines church was shot point-blank in the chest by an Israeli sniper from the army for no reason…killing him… or of another Christian Palestinian 10 year old girl named “Christine” who was shot in the head by Israeli IDF solidiers and died… You can read the story here:

The army opened fire on her family’s car… and there are many other cases such as this… You have a people who on a daily basis are caged up, killed and treated like animals…

I think people forget to put themselves in other peoples shoes and imagine if you had solidiers shooting at your loved ones how would you react? Would you just let them kill your family… There are always 2 sides to every story…

The Israeli government does not want peace, it only wants to make life so miserable and to break the spirit of the Palestinian people that they just give up and leave their lands… or are terrorized so much so on a daily basis that they flee to Jordan or other surrounding areas… (sound familiar?)… There has been alot of talk of a Israeli government plan of **“Transfer”… **which is very disturbing.

You can read the "Jews Against the Occupation" article below for more on this horrific idea… I use the Jews Against the Occupation website so that others will not say I am being biased or anti-Semitic… If even Jews are against this within Israel what does that say?

Edited to add: A good book to read is “IM Mathilda” by Alison Jones Nassar… an American born Christian married to a Palestinian Christian (George Nassar)… and lives in Bethlehem… the book is a diary of her life from 2001 to 2002 and tells the truth about the Church of the Nativity and life under occupation. The family were involved in a court case where the government of Israeli wanted to confiscate the Nassar’s family owned lands in Bethlehem.
 
I am always astounded how Israel is always blamed for the behavior of these people living in the PA. It truly boggles my mind. A terrorist from Gaza blows themselves up at a bus stop:it’s Israel’s fault. People in the PA start shooting at each other in a power struggle:it’s Israel’s fault. Israel seals the borders to ensure the violence doesn’t spill over and it’s all Israel’s fault.

From where I sit, the people living in the PA are never held responsible for their behavior–Israel is. Makes no sense to me at all.
