We were rooting for the Eagles to make the Super Bowl. They did. And they WON it too. happy dance

Always an Eagles fan!
Thanks and good luck with the Titans next season! šŸ™‚
Thanks. If the owners would just stop getting rid of the head coaches and let them do their jobs. Weā€™ll see how the new one does. Still miss Jeff Fisher.

Well, I was hoping for some closure from Pittsburgh Dad, but I doubt he could top his last video. šŸ¤£

Yeah, but Mike Vrabel is considered a no nonsense coach, and with the addition of the Rams offensive coordinator who dramatically turned around one of the worst offenses from the previous year, you never know. Phillyā€™s 2nd yr. HC Doug Pederson is now a perfect example. Few if anyone expected him to accomplish what he did. šŸ™‚

The NFL combine is right around the corner, then the draft shortly after. Cleveland has the first and fourth overall picks this year (5 total in first 2 rounds) which gives them an opportunity to draft some of the top skill position players that could help turn the organization around.

Any thoughts who they should draft?

No ideas on who they should draft. But Iā€™m watching things very closely.

Any ideas on your end?

Sorry lily, I didnā€™t mean that part as a direct question to you. I probably should have made multiple posts. šŸ™‚

If thereā€™s any Browns fans left after this past season, I was hoping to hear who they might be interested in drafting. But no biggie, anyone can chime in for whatever teamā€¦ I guess my own concern would be the possibility of Saquon Barkley ending up on the Giants which is of course the Eagles division rival. That could be painful! šŸ¤Ø šŸ™‚

I was a little disappointed by the lack of closure myself.

Are you hinting at a possible twist to this upcoming draft that would send Clevelandā€™s first overall pick to the Eagles in exchange for the veteran and Super Bowl MVP QB Nick Foles?

So I guess the problem is a lack of consistency in the rulesā€¦
Good point. Technically, a receiver who catches a TD pass and spikes the ball, does not survive the ground. This idiocy has to be fixed.

The catch rule likes to display its ugly details at the worst times during big games. The Steelers could have been the AFC conference champs this past season, and if you remember the Dez Bryant TD catch a few years ago that was called incomplete in the divisional playoff game that would have given them the lead with just a few mins remaining?

Wow, lots of upset fans after that gameā€¦

The rule is unnecessarily complicated, which leads to subjective calls. I hope they can find a sensible solution now before next season.

Itā€™s not football, but perhaps this will offer some closure for Pittsburgh Dad fans šŸ˜‚

Thatsā€¦ not what I meant to say. The Steelers could have been the AFCā€™s #1 seed instead of New England
if the catch rule didnā€™t take away Jesse Jamesā€™ TD. From there who knows, the Steelers would have played
the Titans in the divisional round while New England played the Jags, etcā€¦

Iā€™d like to see the outtake from the flute bit he did in the other vid. Canā€™t imagine how he got through that. šŸ™‚

He absolutely caught it. He had control. He even broke the plane for an instant touchdown!

EXCEPT

He didnā€™t yet magically transform into the ā€œRunnerā€ status according to the rule.

SO

He remained in the ā€œPlayer Going To The Groundā€ status which then required him to not only catch and have control, but to maintain complete control through the process of going to the ground, and even after until the ref is satisfied.

Result - No catch because he didnā€™t survive the ground.

The rule is horrible.

I feel your pain.

I was sweating bullets in the Super Bowl when Zach Ertz scored the TD in the 4th qtr. He was considered a ā€œrunnerā€ā€¦I guess.

Have you seen the Dez Bryant catch before?

2018 NFL Combine

Whatā€™s it gonna be Cleveland? šŸ™‚

I heard a couple days ago they are entertaining the idea of trading away their first pickā€¦

The Browns suddenly got very active today trading QB Deshone Kizer to the Packers for CB Damarious Randall, then acquired QB Tyrod Taylor from the Bills for a 3rd round pick. They also traded this years 4th round pick, and next years 7th round to the Dolphins for (slot) WR Jarvis Landry.

The Browns now have a starting QB as well as the first overall pick in the upcoming draftā€¦
