Many on block watch do the same thing. I think you have a overall wrong view of what occurs and base your overall opinion on Zimmerman.

He has an army to protect him. The average man does not. Why compare such unequal situations?

He travels in an open popemobile, and he has his window down in his other vehicle. He’s not afraid to shake hands with ordinary people. He does indeed have security, but nothing compared to the popes in the past.

And his life is in much, much more danger than the average person. Is Pope Francis worried or paranoid? No.

If someone is following you, there is no need to go back a block to ask them a question

So he travels with 40 or so Swiss Guards. How many “much’s” does that mean for the average person that doesn’t have any Swiss Guards?

And I also drive around with my window down. And I meet and greet ordinary people. And I am not worried or paranoid.

I also have a concealed carry permit.

What point are you making exactly? I could almost follow it if we each were Pope. But, seeing as we are not why compare?

It’s all has to do with the Pope’s willingness to forgo certain safety measures so that he can better interact with people.
