In all the Novus Ordo masses that I have attended, the people (led by the priest and clasping hands, of course) concatenate “For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory now and forever” to the end of the Our Father.
Where did this strange innovation come from? Is it a licit part of the Mass or did it just come in through the back door on its own (like the clasping of hands)?
