You have God’s email address and fax number I suppose? It’s also amazing how you keep quoting from a “corrupt” book to “validate” Muhammad’s claims!

Vickie 😃
Not sure about the e-mail address but God’s phone/fax number is 2-4-4-3-4 (no area or country code required) and Muslims are commanded to call and talk to the Lord every single day of our lives.

If you are wondering about the phone number, that is actually the number of rakaats in each of the 5 obligatory prayers that a Muslim performs daily.

No Muslim will ever claim that he or she knows how God looks like or that anyone has ever seen the Lord.

However, Muslims have no problem at all in claiming that we not only know who they were but we also know the names of many of these “ten thousands of saints”, the names of their wives and children and the precise way how these individuals, families and community lived their lives and worshipped their Lord.
have you found a source of ten thousandSSS of saints? because the last source i saw, Al-Tabari said 12 thousand;)

you are truly God’s answer to these forums.
Keep up the good works my dear brother in Christ. x

"And this [is] the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand [went] a fiery law for them." … Deuteronomy 33:1-2

If you look closely at the wording of this verse, you will see that it bears the chronological succession of the prophets of God, like the rising sun.
Came: the first appearance of daylight in the morning; dawn.
Rose up: the arrival of the sun in the morning.
Shined forth: Mid-day sun which lights up the Earth from East to West. Islam has indeed come to shine all over the earth as the mid-day sun.

For a more complete explanation of this prophecy and subsequently the answer to your question on who these “ten thousands of saints” were, kindly go to this webpage
same old same old, have you not got anything new?
dont forget the same people are here witnessing old stuff your bringing up 😉

Can you kindly inform who are the "ten thousands of saints" who came (or are coming?) with the Lord as prophesied in the following verses of the Bible:

"Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him." … (Jude 1:14-15)

Such is their importance and significance in the eyes of God, I would say that if you do not know who these ten thousand saints/holy ones are, then this would certainly imply that you also would really not know who the Lord is.
Like most numbers in the Bible, 10,000 is a mystical number. It is not to be taken literally. Numbers which are meant to be taken literally as well as mystically are historical numbers, like the twelve Apostles: there were really twelve of them (historical) and the number twelve signifies the twelve tribes of Isreal (mystical).

Now the number ten means perfection and the number thousand means indefinite, so ten thousand would mean all of the saints, who are too numerous to count. So who will come with the Lord? All of His saints, whom were so numerous that the Prophet could not even count them.

The vision would clearly be read as the Judgment Day by Jews, when God deals out the eternal desserts to all: those who love Him are given eternal life, while those who reject Him are given eternal death. There is a hint of the resurrection of the dead in the vision, in that the saints have come with the Lord to receive their bodies again - their souls being reunited with their bodies, which God has made incorrupt and glorious.

The saints of the Lord are all the righteous souls, all those who have done His Will. Just as the saints coming with the Lord to receive their bodies hints at the general resurrection, so too it hints at the New Israel, for the ten thousand significes Israel has been universalized and their coming is like the coming of a bride with the groom or the coming of a queen with the king. So the saints are those souls who are righteous, and, most especially, the New Israel.

Visions are always symbolic, never to be taken literally, and the mountain shows this. A mountain significes many things to the Prophet: the throne of God, Mount Siani where Israel received the commandments, Mount Carmel where God proved He was God. Not all of these things would come to the Prophet’s mind, I’m sure, but God is eternal and so too His Word: the Lord always speaks to us in the past, present, and future, gently leading us along to a deeper revelation of Himself and His work and His relationship with His creations. Now, it would be ironic, indeed, that the mountain signifies Mount Siani, for God has come with His New Israel, with new commandments. It would also be a perfect image of Judgment Day: when man is worshipping idols, ignoring God’s Law and Prophet, here comes the Lord suddenly to pass judgment. The mountain signifying the throne which God sits on, and the the throne itself signifying God (whereby the mountain would signify God), is another great image of the Day of Judgment, one which many Jews in later times held in fact. The mountain signifying Mount Carmel, however, is the one that immediately jumps to one’s mind and seems to be the perfect interpretation (thought not the only interpretion) of the vision: God has come to show He is who He is and to judge those who slander and blasmphy Him. For the enemies of Judaism who use this vision to justify their claims, this would be the most ironic meaning of the vision, because they would be interpreting their own judgment.

EDIT: I mixed up the vision as described by Enoch and another vision of the Prophet Isaiah where the Lord appears on the mountain. Nevertheless, I’m not going to delete the mountain part, because I think it helps one better understand Enoch’s vision.

By the way, the Book of Enoch is not a part of the Canon of the Scriptures, neither the Christian nor the Jewish Bible, and this is why some Jews are a little uneasy about Christianity, because the Apostle is quoting a book which is not scriptural. Just thought I’d let you know.

**Gabriel of 12:
Sure; in the communion of Saints exceeds the ten thousands. Do you want every baptized Christian named here? All these names are recorded in the lambs bood of life, and more are being added daily. Oh, and for sure, many many of them are virgin Men whom we know by name. I hope your not commiting the ten thousands to a literal number? because the Catholic church saints already exceed that number, and that would be a terrible thing to misinterpret God’s Holy Word.

Peace**

You did not answer anything that I asked.

Why did God not mention Yathrib?

Did Muhammed leave DURING a battle?

DId these people actually give him food?
I am no expert on Biblical history but if I were to speculate, then perhaps at the time the prophecy was revealed, the land of Tema was much more influential and well-known than the town of Yathrib.

On the night that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) left Makkah, the daggers and swords of the people who wanted to kill him were indeed drawn.

And the people of Yathrib did indeed provide Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his followers from Makkah food and refuge when they migrated there.

See, here is where you are failing in trying to use the Bible.

The reason I asked about Yathrib is because Yathrib is Medina. God would know this. Why did GOd not specify that place?

The reason I asked about the conditions under which Muhammed fled is that the Bible verse makes it clear that it is DURING a battle. Islamic history does show him under threat, but not that he fled during a battle, with bows drawn and all that.

Finally, the question is not if Yathrib supported him, they did, but the people in the other area. THere is no proof of that in Islam.

this says it all.
At least Muslims have a pretty good idea who exactly were these “ten thousands of saints” who are prophesied in the Bible whereas Christians do not even have a clue and cannot bring themselves to admit it, can they?

but Christians used Biblical passages to explain to you. You, on the other hand, cannot even give an Islamic evidence about 10 thousands…that’s the only difference…on the one hand, we use scriptures , OT and NT, and other OT scriptures to give the fulfillment of your quote, on the other hand you twist the meaning scriptures without an Islamic evidence to even assist twisting the scripture.

Since you claim to know so much, do tell!

Ahhhh … as you said … you *don’t *know all, but only many.
How is this any different from us claiming to know some saints, but not all?

michel
Muslims are only interested in knowing about the kind of ‘saints’ that God Almighty Himself has acknowleged in the Bible.

The “Saints” (with a capital ‘S’) who have been beatified by the Church do not really interest us much and if these are indeed the kind of “Saints” that Christians know of, then they just do not count as far as Muslims are concerned.

What is the Islamic definition of a saint?

You still need to address the question of why these “righteous souls” would be descending on “mount Paran” instead of Jerusalem on Judgment Day and why they need to be given a “fiery law” on that Day.
