Yes, I was agreeing with that. Same with the so called Hollywood gay agenda. Folks, they only care about money. They are a business in a (usually) free-market economy. They have a responsibility to make money and nothing more.
Wrong. They have a duty/responsibility to operate in a way that does not violate community standards and laws.

An example would be Ford stealing raw materials to make cars in the name of profit.

Okay, but featuring two women doing whatever it was they are doing (I have forgotten) does not violate that as long as it conforms to standard decency regulations (although i would argue that until sexual issues can be portrayed honestly on adult programming and they cut down on the violence during hours that kids watch, our so-called standards are kind of skewed).

Name me one adult program that portrays sexual issues honestly.

And yes, I would agree the standards are skewed.

I can’t, but I don’t watch much TV.

Of course, my ideas of what is “honest” are more in-line with sociological questions like "What do people actually do in the bedroom as opposed to what they are portrayed as doing?’, and I have a feeling we disagree on that.

Well, if Ford is doing something which will probably promote the homosexual agenda (intended or not) in order to make $$$, and if we don’t want the homosexual agenda to be promoted, then what we have to do is make those kind of things unprofitable for them by boycotting Ford whenever it does something like that - then they will stop doing it as it is no longer profitable. Assuming that what Sharky said is correct.

Again should broadcast TV be a leader or a follower? Just because someone is stealing, raping and murdering, honest protrayal or not, a constant bombardment of this material normalizes it.

And the airwaves are owned by the people.

**Ford ‘Proves’ Commitment To Homosexual Agenda

** Ford Motor Company has proven its commitment to the homosexual agenda by sponsoring a TV program featuring a passionate kiss between two lesbians.

Last fall, in a meeting with AFA, Ford agreed to stop funding the homosexual agenda. However, after a group of angry homosexual leaders met with Ford, the company reneged on its agreement and announced that they would continue their commitment to support the effort to legalize homosexual marriage.

Ford even gave the homosexual groups a letter stating Ford’s strong commitment to their cause.

On a recent episode of CBS’s Without A Trace, Ford proved to the homosexual leaders the company’s commitment to their agenda. The Ford-sponsored program included a scene of two lesbians passionately kissing each other.

To see what Ford sponsored, click here. (Warning! This scene is very offensive!)

AFA and 20 other pro-family organizations have called for a one-year boycott of Ford. AFA is asking individuals to sign the Boycott Ford pledge. Click here to see the extensive support Ford is giving to the homosexual cause and to sign the pledge found in the upper right hand corner.

Please forward this to your friends and family. Most individuals are not aware of Ford's support of the homosexual cause. It would help if you would forward this to your local dealer. Ford also makes Mercury, Lincoln, Mazda, Jaugar, Volvo, and Land Rover. Well thanks for that, I appreciate it. We were going to buy a Ford Ranger, but now we wont be.

“Please tell your dealer why.”

As my husband just said, there wont be any dealer we go to now for a Ford. Not a chance. We’ll go to Daimler Chrysler for that Jeep we’ve been wanting!

Oh this is just silly,

Boycotting won’t achieve anything - this company is a huge international group, the fact that some annoyed Catholics (all four of you) have vowed to not use Ford will make no difference - in fact only one out of the four or so of you has said that they were even going to buy a Ford…

You cannot boycott everything that you do not like - and if you still decide to, then fine, it is your choice, there is no need to go forcing other people to appreciate your decision.

If its only four of us - why are you concerened? Go on your merry way.

I want to make sure any potential members arent put off by this sort of boycott promoting… 😛

Possibly boycotts should be motivated less by a desire to damage the object than to demonstrate our commitment to deal only with men of honor.

I never could understand why corporations insist that the personal lives of their employees are of no concern to them. They then are shocked when a man who is cheating on his wife also cheats on them. Where did they ever get the idea that they mean more to him than his wife does?

They also committed to Anti-Semiticisim during WWI and WWII… They talk about their role at the Museum of Tolerance… Sad!
A lot of people do not know that. In 1920 Ford’s company magazine “The Dearborn Independent” published (over several issues) a book written by Henry Ford himself titled “The International Jew, The World’s Foremost Problem”. It almost made Hitler look wishy-washy on the issue of anti-semitism. He may have even gotten some of his ideas from it. Ford has a pretty big presence in Germany.

The airwaves are owned by the people, the broadcasts are owned by the companies. And like it or not, the people have spoken on entertainment, and the Catholic view is in the minority. That’s also how “the people” works.

And there is a difference between portraying rape, murder and stealing, and portraying it incorrectly. If I were watching a show about crime in New York City, I would think it ridiculous to gloss over the bad parts.

As it stands the Catholic minority boycotting Fors is not going to do anything, nor will this commercial cause more homosexuals to go out and by Fords.

Cars are only bought every few years by households, so if they miss out on your every few years then it wont even affect their business.

Get over it

I really don’t think this means anything “Whats done is done” and the anti semetic things were “done” along time ago.

A couple of days ago I was given a big telling off from some people on a thread about immigration for reminding people that Hitler referred to Jews as “aliens”. I don’t think that the actions of one anti semetic person over 80 years ago mean much today. Volkswagen used to make vehicles for the Nazi government - but it no longer means anything.

Lets call a spade a spade. Ford is a car company who wish to make money - they will do anything they can to get money, and if this means condoning homosexuality, then they shall do it. I am really sure that personal politics do not come into the matter…

I did not say it did mean anything. It is just historical trivia. Volkswagen did not actually just make cars for Nazi Germany, it was created by them. Hitler wanted a car that the average German could afford. A “people’s car”, which is what “volkswagen” means. What Hitler wanted in his “People’s Car” was that it should have a top speed of 100km/h (62mph), a fuel consumption of 7 litres per 100km (approx 42mpg), it should be able to carry 2 adults and 3 children, it had to be air-cooled and above all should cost no more than RM 1,000 (Reichsmarks) or about $200.00 at that time. He drew the initial design on a napkin while discussing the project with Ferdinand Porsche who then produced the car. Both Volkswagen and Porsche were created shortly afterward. Sotheby’s sold that original napkin with Hitler’s drawing of the original volkswagen some years ago for something like $65,000.00.

Yeah, my dad had one - a beetle.

Under the scheme where the German people could get a car, hundereds of people applied and gave money to doing this, but not one single car was ever given to a person under that scheme… goes to show how easily Hitler lied, the huge scale he did, and how well they conned everyone…
