Not really convinced, nearly all of your links were from websites specifically desinged to destory this so called gay agenda and reinstore this “American family values” - whatever they are…

They therefore are incredibly biased, and thus cannot be taken seriously.

Do you not think that someone fighting the theme of such sites could pull up just as many (biased at that) websites to try and counter your beliefs?

I gotta crystal ball. 🙂 I knew you would answer this way.

What would it take to convince you? Probably nothing. 😦

Gees my history teacher is sooo bad - I have already had to correct her on the entire Ernst Rohm thing (she seemed to emphasis too much on his homosexuality - and not enough on his socialism) and then also the role of the Catholic church during WWII… oh well, as long as I have you to correct me… 😛 😃 😉
Most history teachers are bad on the subject of WWII because they have to follow a very flawed curriculum and because most of them were taught incorrect things in the first place. Röhm was also seen as a threat because the power of the SA was so great and it was felt that he may have had thoughts of replacing Hitler as leader.

I do think it must be quite hard to be a history teacher - mainly because they have to teach such a wide variety of topics when they have only studied a particular period in time at university (in most cases). My teachers degree is about French history in the 17th Century (I think) so as you can immagine, learning about WWII can have some flawed facts - we are doing the Wall Street Crash at the moment - she tries… 😃 🙂

Very true. There is far to much to learn in one lifetime. As far as WWII goes, much of the factual information is still clouded by politics and propaganda. I have been studying the European theater of operations in WWII and the Third Reich in particular for around 30 years. Nearly all of what I learned in school was bogus.

When I took history in college in the 1950’s my professor refused to include anything that happened after Napoleon. It was his contention that all that had happened since that time was interlinked with current events.

Clever but extremely busy people at Ford.
HA!

See, that leaves them no time to lead children to satanism through harry Potter and Final Fantasy. 😉

**Ford Praised For Supporting Homosexual Marriage

** Pride at Work, AFL-CIO’s homosexual organization, has praised Ford Motor Company for the company’s support of homosexual marriage.

In a March 13 press release, Pride at Work praised Ford for supporting “marriage equality,” a term for homosexual marriage used by homosexuals.

The press release praising Ford’s support for homosexual marriage followed Ford’s sponsorship of CBS’s Without a Trace on March 9. In that program Ford publicly proved to the homosexual activists their support for the homosexual agenda by sponsoring a passionate kiss between two lesbians. Click Here to see the scene sponsored by Ford.

Josh Cazares, Pride At Work Co-President, said, “Ford has been leading corporate America in the path toward equality (supporting the homosexual agenda)…they should be applauded for that…Once a company like Ford is forced to lower the bar, other companies are likely to follow that example.” What Mr. Cazares is saying is if the boycott of Ford is successful other major corporations will back off supporting homosexual marriage.

Expressing appreciation to Ford for their support, Pride at Work said, "The list of charges (by AFA) reads more like an advertisement of all the positive contributions Ford has indeed given the LGBT community. (See BoycottFord.com).

AFA has called for a boycott of Ford. Ford will stop supporting homosexual marriage only if they feel the boycott in their pocketbook.

Many individuals and foundations which have Ford stock are not aware of the boycott. Please send a letter to inform the New York Stock Exchange and major investment firms of the boycott. Your letter will go straight to Wall Street informing them of the boycott.
Please forward this to your friends and family so they will know about Ford’s support for homosexual marriage.

Well, the logic behind the commercial is not to support the homosexual agenda, it is to market to men who find two women kissing to be arousing and exciting, a feeling which the marketers surmise the men will then associate with ford cars.

Even so, Ford is not a religous company. They operate in the free market economy that most first world countries have, where the main production incentive is profit.

So if they think they can expand their user base, not only through homosexuals buying the cars (although looking at the commercial, which makes a stereotype of lesbains I dont see how this is advertisment is meant to be encouragement), but also through people who are in favour of homosexual equality, at the expense of a few fundamentalist Catholics then they would have made that choice.

There, no hidden agenda, or secret plan to turn you all into homosexuals, and force your children to turn homosexual, just profiteering, where they are gaining the support of a larger group of peoples than they are losing by running these advertisements and supporting equality.

Personally, on both counts (the lesbains, and the equal rights), neither of them would convince me to lean towards buying a Ford car, but hey, maybe their research shows it will make men buy their cars

This must be as correct as it is typical of Ford [a company legendary for it’s marketing mis-steps]. Still, they are not alone among American auto makers in misunderstanding the realities American consumers face in making such a choice.

I would agree, these ads are directed at Fords biggest market [35 - 45 year old men] since these have the money to buy Fords top selling product…Trucks. I do not agree that they make great trucks objectively. I tow a 12,000# boat with a Ford and have driven trucks all my life. [nb. The Ford I use was a gift from a grateful customer.]

For years the redeeming value of the Company was it’s reliable dividend. Recall that in January of last year, the Wall Street Journal was awash in stories of American Auto makers offering bigger engines and bigger SUV’s. Can you say: “Out of step”. As a former owner of the stock I would urge extreme caution. [No license and no personal financial advice intended. Consult you stock broker and attorney regarding investment decisions.]

So, given their grasp of market realities $2.40 per gal] in January of 2005, the current silliness, promoting lesbian attractions is not surprising.

I confess, I am a “censor” and I vote with my pocket book.

Kudos to Bufffalo…I have sent this thread to several of my TRUCKER friends for a laugh.

I’ll say a prayer for the men St. Sharky reports are “turned on” by women kissing. Believe me, neither the truckers I hang with or their ladies will be pleased to be associated with this “anti-male” nonsense. Real men are not “turned on” by perversion, but there are not as many of these around as there once was.

**GENERAL NOTICE

**The rules of the Catholic Answers Forum, to which you agreed on registering, require that members be respectful of Catholicism, as well as of other faiths. This includes the Church’s teaching on abortion, homosexuality and homosexual behavior. Open and frank discussions that are also civil and courteous are encouraged.

The Church’s teaching on homosexuality can be found in the Catholic Catechism, here. Also note that the Church teaches:

Homosexual acts go against the natural moral law. Homosexual acts “close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved”… Nonetheless, according to the teaching of the Church, men and women with homosexual tendencies “must be accepted with respect, compassion and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided”. They are called, like other Christians, to live the virtue of chastity. The homosexual inclination is however “objectively disordered” and homosexual practices are “sins gravely contrary to chastity”.

The company I work for (BellSouth) along with other companies, are encouraging Homosexuality constantly. (Following link will lead to inappropriate content for Children and adults) The atlanta pride organization’s website identifies some of these sponsors:
new.atlantapride.org/sponsorship/2006/index.php

The website also encourages children and families to come for the parade etc.

Also, BellSouth was the 1st corporate sponsor for the Birmingham Pride march in Birmingham Alabama.

Also in December of 2005, BellSouth’s homosexual networking group (New Angle) sponsored a “Christmas Show” in Tarrant City, Alabama. Christian Networking groups are forbidden at BellSouth.

Sorry I don’t participate in boycotts. At the rate we’re going we would have to boycott the world.

I prefer not to think about most of the things I buy. If I did I would probably leap from a cliff.

I don’t know if I really intended to suggest a “boycott” per se. My point is Corporations are out in the public not only trying to get You to buy their products, but also to shape our life, beliefs etc according to their own motives. I think it is time they got back in the boardroom and out of the bedroom etc. I also believe, as all citizens, corporate ones must be held accountable for their actions. Sometimes, it’s as simple as telling Your neighbor, who is the CEO/Corporate governing body etc, You find the conduct of their company to be inappropriate. Sometimes, it’s a matter of taking Your money elsewhere if You have a choice. I would assume, if the local grocery store didn’t sell Your type of bread, You go to the other grocery store across the street.

It’s possible corporate America will never notice…
