Apparently, McCabe WILL receive his pension … delayed to age 57. [He is age 50 now.]

However, his net worth is $11 million, so he will not hurt for money.
So, because Pocan is willing to hire him for two days, I have to contribute to his pension even if it’s later made absolutely clear that the firing was justified?

His own FBI recommended his termination for what is, in FBI standards, wrongdoing. So Dems want to justify and pay a wrongdoer just because he conspired against Trump with STrotz and Page?

Twisted beyond all recognition.

And when did Presbyterians begin receiving the Eucharist as Catholics understand the Eucharist?!
Ok…ill give you that one…but youve avoided all the other points, conveniently.
Yes because they are absurd!

The Republicans did initially. They didn’t want him winning the nomination.

What’s twisted is that they waited so long once they determined to fire him. Like you said, it would have been easy for some politician to hire him for two days so that he would have fulfilled his pension vesting.

Apparently a politician is going to do that.

I don’t know why anyone waited. Since it was FBI people who recommended his termination, perhaps it takes them awhile.

Well, something was discussed at that meeting. Perhaps a deal couldn’t be reached and everyone agreed to keep quiet? Or maybe they got scared off by Trump’s speech which would have made things more obvious? Trump never did say what “all of the things that have been taking place with the Clintons” were.

There clearly was intent but I’m not accusing.

Nothing is wrong with paying for competitive research on your opponents, it’s just common sense. The issue lies in whether it’s verified and how it’s used.

If having sizeable net worth is not a good thing, what does that say about Trump?

Not following your intended Trump deflection.

BTW, you can get help with that constant need to inteject his name, even when there is no tangent to the convo.

Finance expert: No, McCabe Isn’t Losing His Pension

Media coverage of Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe’s firing played up the angle that he was supposedly losing his pension by being canned before his 50th birthday, and politicians suggested hiring him for a few days just to round out his benefits. But that’s wrong, says Elizabeth Bauer at Forbes. “In fact, the FERS (Federal Employees Retirement System) benefits vest at five years, meaning that benefit accruals cannot be taken away.” So what McCabe lost was the ability to take his pension after age 50 plus “his eligibility to a special top-up in benefit formula.” That’s not nothing, “but it is grossly misleading that various news outlets are giving the general public the impression that he has lost his pension entirely.”

If having sizeable net worth is not a good thing, what does that say about Trump?
What was the purpose of twisting the discussion … where did I say or imply this? [having sizeable net worth is not a good thing] … I never said this.

McCabe just made life tough for Comey and the special counsel
McCabe is accused of misleading investigators about allegedly giving information to a former Wall Street Journal reporter about the investigation of Hillary Clinton and the Clinton family’s charitable foundation. McCabe asserts in his post-firing statement that he not only had authority to “share” that information to the media but did so with the knowledge of “the director.” The FBI director at the time was Comey.
“I chose to share with a reporter through my public affairs officer and a legal counselor,” McCabe stated. “As deputy director, I was one of only a few people who had the authority to do that. It was not a secret, it took place over several days, and others, including the director, were aware of the interaction with the reporter.”
If the “interaction” means leaking the information, then McCabe’s statement would seem to directly contradict statements Comey made in a May 2017 congressional hearing.
