I decided to come back to this first post you made for this topic as I was reading through this thread; I found it difficult to decipher just what it was we were talking about here.
One thing I am wondering is, Can you illustrate for us please, just what your conception of official Adventist teachings are on the subject of Mary?

Did God drop the Bible out of the sky as a book? If so, why there so many different versions? If it did not just fall from the sky, in a complete edited binded book, than how do you personally know what books belong in it and what don`t? If you are using your personal opinion, than perhaps, you could be wrong.

Of course, in fact I have been. In the past, I faced challenges accepting some parts of Catholic teaching. I decided to study those particular teachings I had difficulty with, and due to God`s grace, came to understand why the Church follows that doctrine/teaching. Learning the reasons behind the teaching helped me grow in faith. Even now when I struggle with particular aspects of my faith, I recognize that the Church has the ultimate authority on matters of doctrine, not me personally. Hi Geoff,I’m LDS but not SDA, but still it seems like both LDS and SDA are in simular boats as compared to the Catholic Church. Even though I’m LDS I still have needed the Catholic church to get through the hard times I been in with my health that is shot.
Fr. Benedict Groeschel, is a person that has attracted me to the Catholic Church, and It would not hurt to have him speak at an LDS conference, and an SDA conference, many minds would be swayed toward the goodness of the Catholic church, with people like Fr Groeschel.
