I was looking at some of the links concerning the false confirmations…some went as far back as 1974-a year before Pope Paul’s order for the Franciscans to hand over parishes to the diocese, and six before the first reported ‘Medj’ vision.

I think, and I’m pretty far removed from any alleged happenings, that Archbishop Hozer may have been appointed to put a space between the bishop’s office and the Franciscans. It wasn’t just that the bishops who wanted to hand the parishes over. It was the Vatican, the leaders of the Order, and probably some others who didn’t want to oppose a Pope’s directive. But, as I’ve been led to understand things, it was the Bishop’s job to announce these things. Now, it will be Archbishop Hozer’s. The bishop himself says that he’s following the happenings thru Hozer’s reports.

I just wish there was an easier way to follow this…

Easiest way is Diocese web page. There is probably hundred news portals and blogs who promote fake news. Probably 50% of them have “Medjugorje” or “Queen of Peace” in their name.
I don’t believe it is just ignorance…

Lol, internet is really crazy place.
Many people don’t even care for approval. If Vatican would say it is banned many would still spread wrong informations and promote apparitions.
They think that Pope Francis is some kind of Freemasonry agent who doesn’t love Mary and wants to destroy Medjugorje. And “bishop is Satan reincarnated”. It is hard to explain that mentality.

I don’t believe that. There is no need for someone between them. Obedience of Franciscans is only thing that is needed for Case to be over.

But I am glad Hoser came. He will help put finances in order, help with pilgrims and other pastoral questions. In the end his report will be significant too.

AFAIK many decisions, not connected just to Case, came from superior generals of Order but only part of Franciscans would accept.

Yes, bishops already tried to implement Pope’s decisions (e.g. John Paul II.) but it was unsuccessful, he was kidnapped last time.
Franciscans know decisions for decades and bishops pronounced that zillion times. They really don’t need someone to explain them what they have to do.

New bishop didn’t visit Medjugorje parish yet, maybe we will have some new news when it happens.

I appreciate the info and links you post…

Unfortunately, my translation software leaves a bit to be desired.

The Diocesan home page isn’t too bad, but places it links to seem to are making some obvious mistakes. There is talk of ‘chrysanthemums’ and ‘child priests’(could this be speaking about the Franciscan Order of Friars Minor’? That’s the closest explanation I can come up with).

And, when I spoke of repentant Franciscan priests, I was either referring to either something in the new Bishop’s interview you linked to, or something linked to it on that page.

Are the Franciscans still trying to hold on to parishes by making bishops, past and present, look bad? It seems that should be ‘old news’ by now.

I have other things to speak of, but am really tired. Will try to look some things up, tomorrow. Again, thanks for sharing!

😆
Yes probably OFM. Translate tool sometimes doesn’t do it’s job.

Franciscan Case isn’t resolved yet, they still don’t want to give some parishes to diocesan priests. Those priests are illegaly in parishes (suspended a divinis /expelled from Order) and their parishioners recieve invalid sacraments as well.

Main arguments are that bishop is dividing nation, that they are “kidnapping” parishes from faithful Franciscans who served to faithful.
Parishes were from start meant to be given to diocesan priests, by approval of Pope Leo XIII. (1899.) but Franciscan bishop decided to give parishes to his own priests. When Holy See released decree Pontificibus Romanis (which is decision that Franciscans have to give parishes to diocesans) Franciscans found it to be unjust.
Read the decree and it will be much clearer. You will have to use translator again.

People of Herzegovina are specifically connected with Franciscans for 7 centuries, they helped them to keep faith through history (especially during Osmanlis) so people support Franciscans against bishop.

Short histories of some parishes which Franciscans still don’t want to leave:

There is no english version but translation is okay.
Parish of st. Anthony of Padua

Parish of st. Joseph the Worker

Parish of st. Francis Assisi in Capljina where they bricked entrance in church, where invalid sacrament of Confirmation was given by fake bishop etc.

Sorry, still can’t make much of the translations! But, as these forums are closing soon, this may be the last time we get to discuss this subject. I’m getting the hang of navigating these links. If someone would only get interested in translating them…

Again, thank you for your help.
