So she’s being “ordained” as a Roman Catholic Priest…

…In a Lutheran-Episcopal church. What? One of these things is not like the other.

That’s only one of the many things wrong with this picture, but it was the most silly in my eyes.

That’s why it’s a funny story and “god is on her side.” Just like Tim Tibow’s god was on his side. Hey, News Channel 8 is on my side too!!

Funny! Love stories like this. Proves how ignorant, arrogant some human beings are!
**
There is nothing funny or lovely about sacrilege or pride.** It is a shame that so many people think that they are more enlightened than the Church, with 2000 years, countless saints, the magisterium, and the Holy Spirit’s unending guidance.

A person who truly wants to serve comes when they are called- they do not demand to be called, throw a fit when they are not, and cause scandal and division by proclaiming that they know better than the Church.

How is she being ordained a Roman Catholic priest?
She isn’t. There is a group claiming to be Roman Catholic Women priests but they are not validly ordained. Unfortunately, the news media is either ignorant of these things, or they also may have an active agenda against the Church.

Greetings FaithbyProxy,

I just wanted to say I like your signature.

God Bless.

Well said!

It is quite sad. She is deceiving some poor souls too, while she’s doing this. If she really was Catholic, she’d love and cherish the Church’s teachings.

Thank you, Anathama! Yours is very nice as well!

God Bless you and keep you. :hug1:

As for the news story, this woman will be in my prayers, along with the many other female Catholic “priests”. It is very sad to me that someone who is so passionate about wanting to serve God would then go out of their way to defy His Church.

I defied mother nature by becoming a rabbit.
No seriously. Don’t they realise that not even the pope himself could ordain a woman?

It’s gotten to the point where this is just the exact same story with fill in the blanks repeated every few years…Blah blah blah, “defying the church”…blah blah, “accepting the consequences”…squawk, wine, “civil rights movement”. Usually I’m asleep by the time they get to that though. I don’t want to minimize the implications for these inidviduals…but this continual drumbeat from the media just gets a little tiresome that’s all.

Regardless of what my doctors or any so-called authorities say, I AM Napolean the 9th, TRUE ruler of France and destined to rule all of Europe…

Agreed. Our local paper run a huge full page story about the “True Roman Catholic Pope” - who happens to live in rural Kansas.

cjonline.com/life/religion/2012-01-13/kansas-pope-leads-flock-exile

This actually appeared in the “religious” section of the Saturday paper - and no it wasn’t an ongoing series about mentally ill people.

The consequence is automatic excommunication, or expulsion from the church, the bishop wrote. The same penalty applies to anyone who participates in the ordination ceremony.
“With this in mind, for the good of your immortal soul, I exhort you to choose not to participate in this attempted ‘ordination,’” Dewane wrote.
Beaumont says she will follow her conscience and take the consequences… “Of course, we all reject that excommunication, because it’s a man-made rule that does not really follow what we know of Jesus, what Jesus would do,” said Beaumont, who entered the convent at 17 and was a Benedictine nun for 35 years. “How can any group of human beings say to God, ‘You can’t call a woman.’?”
The master of deceit strikes again offering freedom from the oppressive patriarchal rule and from an unreasonable Church. We need to be liberated to follow our own moral truth and throw off the chains of injustice.
