Heavenly Father,
In this time of need, strengthen him. You are our strength and our shield; You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. I know, Father, that Your eyes go to and fro throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts long for You. The body grows weary, but my hope is in You to renew his strength. Help him not to fear, for You are with him. Help him not to be dismayed or overwhelmed, for You are our God. I know You will strengthen him and help him; that You will uphold him with Your righteous hand. Even as the shadows of illness cover him, let him feel the comfort of Your strength. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.

Lord Jesus, hear our prayers for Fr. Allard. Amen

Oh Lord, please help Fr. Allard to return to good health if it be your will. :crossrc:

God our Father, source of all health, be near those who suffer in the time of weakness and pain; relieve them of their burden and heal them, if it be Your will.
Give peaceful sleep to those who need rest for soul and body, and be with them in their hours of silence. Bless those who know not what another day will bring.
Make them ready for wahtever it may be. Whether they must stand, or sit or be confined, grant them a strong spirit.
Inspire with Your love those who bring healing and care to the suffering. May they bestow Your gifts of health and strength wherever they go. Grant this prayer, through Christ our Lord. Amen. :crossrc:

UPDATE

Yesterday (Sun Sept 27/09), Fr. Allard concelebrated the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass successfully with the chaplain presiding.

This now marks 20 times that Father Allard has both presided privately and concelebrated the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass consecutively, –without interruption in his schedule, since August 30th .

There are many obstacles which I’m not really at liberty to explain. I could tell you that Father is weak enough that they won’t get him up for an entire day now … either they get him up and into his chair for the morning in order to concelebrate Mass, then back to bed for the afternoon, or, he remains in bed for the morning and is gotten up in the afternoon (which has become the “new” time for his presiding privately at Mass – previously he had done this in the morning). So we might say that the window of opportunity has shrunken a bit but it still opens easily enough if one goes to the window at the required time.

He is physically weaker than before that most recent pneumonia hit, but has definitely gained some ground in the morale department. Yesterday I was also blessed enough to have him hear my confession. God is good … so are all our prayers.

Thanks all on behalf of Father Allard and God bless you.:grouphug:

http://i33.tinypic.com/122c0v4.jpg I rested on your prayers during my pilgrimage in Italy. *“Please fill me with your grace, Blessed Mother.” *Likewise, I remembered to pray for those who requested intercession before Padre Pio and all holy Saints and holy places I visited.

The highlight of my pilgrimage was on my knees in prayer, fraternal charity, Blessed Mother, Mother Church,

meditating on the Holy crucifix, the value of the priesthood and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

Fr. Allard came to my mind daily and frequently. I could not forget him. He was sealed in my heart. My son is discerning for the priesthood, so as a mother I am learning to appreciate the value of the priest: Willing sacrifice. Martyr. Salvation and redemption of mankind. Authentic love. All of Calvary happens in the great mystery of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass! What would happen to mankind without the Catholic priest? To forget Fr. Allard would be equivalent to allowing someone to rip out my heart.

St. Michael the Archangel defend Fr. Allard. St. Francis of Assisi, pray for Fr. Allard. Amen.
