Most Holy Rosary - Glorious Mystery - Please join us in prayer for Blessed Mother’s intentions for Fr. Allard and NeedImprovement

HAIL, HOLY QUEEN, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!
Code:
V. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray. O GOD, whose only begotten Son, by His life, death, and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech Thee, that meditating upon these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Intentions for To Jesus through Mary

**Most Holy Rosary - Sorrowful Mystery ** - Please join us in prayer for Blessed Mother’s intentions for Fr. Allard and NeedImprovement

**Make the Sign of the Cross and say the “Apostles’ Creed.”

**
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen.

# Say the "Our Father."

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. Amen.

# Say three “Hail Marys.” (Increase of Faith Hope Love)

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

# Say the "Glory be to the Father."

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

First Sorrowful Mystery - The Agony in the Garden

The apostles fall asleep; Jesus sweats blood at the thought of His coming passion and death; angels come to comfort Him

We pray that Fr. Allard and NeedImprovement who are suffering and on the way to Calvary may be comforted by God’s presence; those who have betrayed or denied the Faith through weakness may repent and return to the warmth of God’s love. We pray that Fr. Allard and NeedImprovement may live only to do our Father’s will, as Jesus always did.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
*
Oh my Jesus*, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy.

Second Sorrowful Mystery - Jesus is Scourged
Our Father …

Jesus is cruelly scourged and beaten by the soldiers.

We pray for (Fr. Allard + His Chaplain) and all priests who are persecuted, physically or mentally abused; those who are imprisoned or prevented from offering Sacrifice of the Mass or receiving Holy Communion. We pray for those priests living under Communist oppression.

10 Hail Mary’s…

Glory Be …

Third Sorrowful Mystery - Jesus is Crowned with Thorns

Our Father…

Jesus is mocked as king and His precious Head is cruelly pierced by thorns.

We pray for FR. Allard and NeedImprovement + all priests who suffer for defending authentic Catholic doctrine. We pray that they will uphold the true teachings of the Catholic Church and resist the temptations to compromise doctrine in the face of cultural and social pressures.

10 Hail Mary’s
Glory Be

** Fourth Sorrowful Mystery - Jesus Carries His Cross
**
Our Father…

Bruised, bleeding, and exhausted Jesus is forced to drag Himself and His Cross up the hill of Calvary.

We pray for Fr. Allard, NeedImprovement and all priests with heavy crosses; those who are weak, lonely or have fallen from God’s grace in some way. We pray for the Holy Father, who perhaps has the heaviest of crosses; the widespread persecution and abandonment of the Church from within and without.

Glory Be

Fifth Sorrowful Mystery - Jesus Dies on the Cross

Our Father…

Jesus sheds His last drops of Precious Blood to redeem us from sin and death.

We pray for Fr. Allard, NeedImprovement, and all priests who are in their last agony and those who will die today. We pray for those who thirst for the salvation of souls. We pray that the crucifixion of their wills may accomplish God’s designs for the salvation of the whole world. We pray that they may take Mary into their hearts, as St. John the apostle, one of the first priests, took Mary into his home.

First Joyful Mystery - The Annunciation

Our Father …

The Angel Gabriel announces to Mary, a virgin, that she will become the mother of God, Word made Flesh. For all centuries to come, Jesus will become flesh in the Holy Eucharist to nourish us in a most intimate union with Him.

**We pray for Fr. Allard, NeedImprovement and all priests who daily, through the words of the consecration at Mass, and through Holy Communion, bring us the Body and Blood of Christ. We pray for all future priests now being formed in the wombs of their mothers, that they may be safe from physical and spiritual harm, and come to Ordination as God intends. We pray for all future generations of priests. We pray also that they may treasure the gift of celibacy.

*Mary visits her cousin Elizabeth, who recognizes Mary as the living tabernacle for their Divine Lord.
*
**We pray especially for Fr. Allard, NeedImprovement and all priests, who bring Holy Communion to the sick, the shut ins and Viaticum to the dying. We pray for they who minister to the sick in other ways, counsel, comfort and console them.

Third Joyful Mystery - The Nativity of Jesus

Our Father…

Jesus is born in Bethlehem. The angels announce His birth; kings and shepherds come to adore Him.

We pray that Fr. Allard, NeedImprovement, priests + seminarians grow in knowledge and love of God to become holy priests. We pray especially for those who may be ordained soon, that they may remain faithful all their lives to the sublime privilege of being " other Christs" among us. We pray that everyone will come to value the Eucharistic Feast and the Priesthood among God’s greatest gifts to us. We pray that they will consider themselves a member of the Holy Family, a true son of Mary and Joseph, and a brother-priest of Jesus, the great High Priest.

** Fourth Joyful Mystery - The Presentation in the Temple**

Our Father…

Mary and Joseph, in obedience to the Law, bring Jesus to the temple to be dedicated to God. Simeon expresses his gratitude to God for revealing the Messiah to him before he dies.

We thank God for Fr. Allard, Chaplain Assistant NeedImprovement (and all priests) who like Simeon, have given us decades of faithful service. We pray that they may be rewarded for their generosity and self sacrifice. We pray also for all whose hearts are pierced by loneliness, depression and rejection.

**Our Father…

*Jesus is found among the teachers in the temple; He returns home and is obedient to Mary and Joseph.
*
**We pray for Fr. Allard, Chaplain Assistant NeedImprovement and all priests will always be found going about their Fathers business, and will be obedient to the teaching of the Magisterium of the Church, our Holy Father and the bishops in communion with him. We pray for all young priests that the love and dedication they experience in the first years of their priesthood may increase with time. We pray for all priests who teach the Faith to children and adults. **

Thank you for praying for Fr. Allard and Chaplain Assistant NeedImprovement. 🙂

Where Father Allard is institutionalized, only 3 Masses per week are officially celebrated by the Chaplain: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. I always assist him on Sunday…only rarely now on Tuesdays and Thursdays however since there is another volunteer who loves to help him on those days and helping him concelebrate during a weekday Mass is much less complicated. Friday and Saturday I help him preside privately.

(Fr. Allard has been institutionalized about 9 years now) Fr. Allard would preside (celebrate privately) every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday faithfully until about 5 years ago – when it became too much for him. In all of those 9 years, he has not been able to preside w/o a properly trained assistant. Another person used to share that assistant position with me for several years up until that time 5 years ago – when the other person erroneously claimed Fr. Allard was no longer capable of celebrating Mass due to certain obstacles.

At that time the routine was changed : concelebration Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and presiding privately Fridays and Saturdays. This routine has continued for the last 5 years. It would take up a ton of pages to explain how we’ve endured certain setbacks and overcome/circumvented all the things that have threatened to stop Fr. Allard celebrating Mass (especially presiding).

Yet, after all those solutions due to human ingenuity – even ingenuity inspired by the Holy Spirit have been exhausted, it will always be reduced to the simplest form : We’re left with nothing to cling to but our faith…and the only way to get past obstacles at that point is to pray our way through them. This is the point we’re at now (when I say we, I’m welcoming aboard everyone praying for Fr. Allard with much gratitude for your prayers).

We may recall here that St. Augustine said, “Faith is belief in those things we cannot see…and the reward of that faith is that we will see all that we have believed.” I know now he wasn’t only talking about heaven, because thanks to everyone’s prayers for Fr. Allard, I’m beginning to see certain things…fruits if you like … things that medical science might find partially perplexing or a little awkward to fully explain.

On Tuesday and Thursday of this week (Sept. 8 & 10 ), Father Allard successfully concelebrated the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with the Chaplain. Yesterday when I phoned the other volunteer to get the (Tuesday +Thursday) summary, she told me that Fr. Allard had no voice (this happens frequently) although he concelebrated successfully. She added that he was looking a lot thinner :sad_yes: than we were used to seeing him.

Today, I wondered if he would be strong enough to celebrate Mass, and when I went up to his room this morning, thin as he was, he looked at me with determination and said (audibly between coughs), “ Today I can do it!” …:yup:

Although I’ve learned to fine tune my ears for whispering and have learned to read his lips in French to know where he is in the celebration of the Mass when he is w/o an audible voice, none of that was necessary today. Although he had no voice yesterday, today it was fairly clear. He only had one coughing bout, as he was reading the closing prayer, but it passed. There were 5 other people in attendance (3 of them patients) and they were happy to see Father Allard celebrating (presiding) once again.

After Mass, he said to me in a clear voice, “Now we’re going to pray the Rosary”; and although it would end up making him a little late for lunch, we prayed the Sorrowful mysteries with Fr. Allard saying the responses clearly and audibly – flawlessly.

What I would consider surely a major indicator of the power of everyone’s prayers was that for the first time in over a month, today I saw Fr. Allard smile and actually chuckle on several occasions. We are scheduled to attempt to have him preside tomorrow – Saturday Sept. 12.

I had asked the Guardian Angels of all praying for Fr. Allard to come to the Mass today and bring you back blessings. Fr. Allard also asked me to thank you for praying for him.

THANK-YOU

“ Today I can do it! ”
Office of the Hours Night Prayers. * We love you Fr. Allard!*

He will shade Fr. Allard with his wings; you will not fear the terror of the night.

Psalm 90 (91)

The protection of the Most High

He will shade you with his wings; you will not fear the terror of the night.

He who lives under the protection of the Most High

dwells under the shade of the Almighty.

**Fr. Allard will say to the Lord:

“You are my shelter and my strength,

my God, in whom I trust.”**

For he will free you from the hunter’s snare,

from the voice of the slanderer.

He will shade you with his wings,

you will hide underneath his wings.

His faithfulness will be your armour and your shield.

You will not fear the terror of the night,

nor the arrow that flies by day;

nor the plague that walks in the shadows,

nor the death that lays waste at noon.

A thousand will fall at your side,

at your right hand ten thousand will fall,

but you it will never come near.

You will look with your eyes

and see the reward of sinners.

For the Lord is your shelter and refuge;

you have made the Most High your dwelling-place.

Evil will not reach you,

harm cannot approach your tent;

for he has set his angels to guard you

and keep you safe in all your ways.

They will carry you in their arms

in case you hurt your foot on a stone.

You walk on the viper and cobra,

you will tread on the lion and the serpent.

Because he clung to me, I shall free him:

I shall lift him up because he knows my name.

He will call upon me and for my part, I will hear him:

I am with him in his time of trouble.

I shall rescue him and lead him to glory.

I shall fill him with length of days

and show him my salvation.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

He will shade Fr. Allard with his wings; you will not fear the terror of the night.
