Teelyn, am quoting this post above because he puts well into words my understanding of the situation of Father leaving the priesthood.
He has been advised by the founder of his order, Fr. Flannigan, and the former Bishop, Garcida to file the civil suit. They have, according to him had a meeting about the situation and I assume he is being advised by them as to what his options have been. He states that Fr. Flannigan is one of the people he trusts most in this life. As to stepping down publically, I am not sure. I do know that he is not calling any shots totally by himself without what he believes to be sound advice and feedback. Whether or not it is, might be up for grabs. I can only imagine that there are many people advising him. This is a very serious and life changing situation that I would not imagine (logically speaking) that you would go through totally on your own. You can bet that he’s had people around him, people that he trusts, that are giving him feedback.

Isn’t it nice that everyone knows what Fr. Corapi ‘needs’ without knowing all the facts.

This is the truth…maybe they may be elected to his tribunal.

I learnt a lot time ago a lesson from the Lord. A woman at the school I worked had this very huge wedding (Italian style…carriage et al). Well, her marriage lasted a year or so and next thing you know, she was getting married IN THE CHURCH again with another big wedding. IN MY HEAD, I judged her and the church for the easiness of getting annulments these days. I WAS SO WRONG!

She came to me one day to confide in me (God’s grace) to tell me that her first husband had a vasectomy before getting married without telling her. They tried to get pregnant, and she found out! The marriage never existed in God’s eyes!

This taught me a very good lesson! Although I never spoke to anybody about it (like this forum), but my uncharitableness was just as blatant and I confessed my arrogance. I will never, never conclude anything until I have read the whole facts…and that may never happen. It is best to err on the side of caustion for charity’s skae.

Let us pray for all concerned. 😊

I would consider myself someone whose spiritual life has been impacted positively by Father’s ministry. I don’t ignore his current actions, I know if it were me, I would have taken the offer from my religious superior to live in community, at least until my name was cleared. I do find Father’s actions to be bizarre, at best. However, I don’t know all the facts, and I personally know a priest-a holy man of God-whose career was ruined by false allegations of serious sexual misconduct.

That priest’s name was legally and canonically cleared, but the false allegations are now attached to his good name forever, and many people judge him by crimes he never even committed.

Because of this, I do have a propensity to believe Father might have been (or is being) railroaded. His statements do sound somewhat forced.

If he has done wrong, I pray he is judged accordingly, including in the righteous way the Church might judge. If he has been wronged, I pray that those who have wronged him will be brought to account and put under God’s just judgment.

Whatever the truth is, I hope and pray that it comes out.
This pretty much hits the nail on the head for me. He did say that (cannot remember his exact wording) he was being more or less “silenced” by religious AND POLITICAL leaders. Now we all (I hope by now) are aware that there are ties between certain religious and political people. At least I would hope that most people would be aware of this. Not saying that this is actually what’s going down here, but that statement that he made in his first message, raised an eyebrow or two.

One thing you can take to the bank. John Corapi along with vitually ANY charismatic, popular preacher who preaches the truth of the Catholic Church is going to be a target for a certain segment of society. He most definitely has enemies both outside and inside the Church. There are definitely people who would love to silence him…
forever. Not saying that this is what’s going on here, but…just sayin.

UPDATE:

I Have Ears So That I May Hear.

Friends, I AM listening. And, am so thankful for the opportunity to be in communication with you.

I have decided to not release those audio tapes.

I am reminded of the story in Exodus of Moses, Aaron and Hur. Just as Moses needed the support of Aaron and Hur, I need you. I am so thankful.

God Love You and God Bless You!

I don’t like having to say this but I think Fr.Corapi jumped ship.IF he is innocent he must be under terrific pain and I can understand his wanting to just get out.But can we just bail out if we are slandered? Can a husband leave home and never coome back because he under alot of strain in raising and providing for his family? Its hard for anyone to believe his innocents when he won’t stick in there and fight the hard fight.Isn’t this the most important thing in his life?I feel ive lost some respect for him and I loved him very much.

I love Fr. Corapi and have seen him preach.

From a Monday morning quarterback, I would feel better if he just chose to obey.

I have the bad feeling that Fr. Corapi is going to win the battle but lose the war…

On that note, I believe Fr. Corapi should have placed himself behind the shield and sword of St. Michael and the heavenly host, for he’s dealing with that enemy and fighting in the secular arena with those being manipulated by that enemy.
(the one St. Ignatius I think it was, said we must not try to fight by ourselves for he is stronger than us. We need to enlist the help of those beings supernatural to fight that enemy. I’m among Catholic friends here, so I can say it…Fr. Corapi is meeting Satan head on. God protect him!
Maybe it’s not possible for a strong warrior to know when he needs to retreat. I’m crying. This is all so tragic.

I"m glad he decided not to release the tapes, but it shouldn’t have been because of his fans, that’s a marketing thing, “I need you”. It should be because it’s the right thing to do.

Does anyone think it’s odd there is no picture or video? Do you think he will appear to sell the book or maybe that would be too hard.

Fr Corapi and Bishop Mulvey of Corpus Christi

Thus, it pains my heart to hear Corapi’s critical words toward him. Corapi didn’t think he could receive a fair trial, but everything I know about Bishop Mulvey says otherwise. Pope Benedict has appointed so many good bishops, including Mulvey, that I can’t help but think that even if Corapi didn’t get a fair hearing at one level, he could have appealed and surely received justice at a higher level.

So, it seems to be one great misunderstanding–no doubt instigated by the Devil, but also one that God would have made beautiful–had only Corapi trusted the Church and humbled himself, even in the face of what very well could be false and unjust accusations.

I was just thinking along the same lines as I washed dishes and reflected on my previous post. I read a comment on an article someplace where the person quotes Father Corapi’s ex-bodyguard saying that he wants to be his spiritual body guard now. It was touching. I don’t really understand the need for a priest to have a body guard, I didn’t even know he had one. It does make sense, on further reflection, with his fame…
I would add that even the Bishops are commenting on the announcements made on the internet, but no one in authority has even hinted that they had actually seen or met with him in person since the announcements. You’d think someone would have drove over to his house and checked on him.

The other thing that has been racking my brains lately is whether there is a connection between the case concerning Fr. Eutreneur and the case with Fr. Corapi. Didn’t Fr. Eutreneur’s and Fr. Corapi give lectures together? The two cases seem to have developed within weeks of each other.

Does anyone know if they lectured together or not? I’d like to put that to rest in my mind if at all possible.

*Edit: If this post is viewed as too speculative, then please delete it. My only intention is to establish facts in order to eliminate possible future speculation. Thanks. 🙂

Oh, I certainly do not think that he has been kidnapped and someone is forcing him to do those videos and type those messages. I think he is in contact with a lot of people.

I do see that he is under attack by Satan. I would love for Father Amorph to pay him a visit. In the meanwhile, we pray, pray, pray. And, try to keep the record straight for the sake of the faithfuls without being silenced nor intimidated and with love. I think the Church has been attacked (Bishops and Canon Law) and her flock (disturbed and dispersed).

I pray to Blessed Pope John Paul the Great to intervene for the Catholic Church in America with this situation and for Father Corapi. Blessed Mother Mary crush the serpent’s head and take him away from Father Corapi. Amen.

Peace,

Abba

Here’s a couple of other interesting pieces of trivia.

In my previous post, I mentioned that theblacksheepdog.com was registered to somebody else in Kingfish Montana. The individual to whom it is registered has an e-mail address of ****@flatheadmedia.net (asterisked out since he is not a public person). This domain is owned by the same folks who flatheadmedia.com.

If you go to flatheadmedia.com and browse around a bit, you will find that they did a lot of marketing development for, guess who, Santa Cruz Media.

For example:
easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/473/3080693399.jpg
easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/473/2467574545.jpg

Lots of more examples on the site.

No problems, so far.

You will remember that I showed that www.theblacksheepdog.com redirected to onlinecatholicnetwork.com? Guess who owns the domain onlinecatholicnetwork.com? Same person.

Remember hearing about that ebay auction for Fr Corapi’s Rosary (the one blessed by Pope Bl JPII?) Guess who the seller is? His user ID is “flatmatt07”. Flathead media? Guess what the first name of the registrant for “theblacksheepdog.com” and “onlinecatholicnetwork.com” is?

And by the way, monthly subscriptions to the “Online Catholic Network” are available:
easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/473/9260392489.png

There are insufficient dots out there to connect, but this is getting interestinger and interestinger every minute…
Wow! You would make a great private detective. 👍

Oh, don’t get me wrong. That would be the most extreme scenario. I would rank it at the least likely on the list.
  1. Kidnapped - least likely
  2. Blackmailed - possible but less likely
  3. Demonic influence like obsession or possession - not enough information to tell
  4. Under someone’s influence - more of a possibility - not enough information to tell
  5. Nervous breakdown - most likely but not enough information to tell
  6. Planned ulterior motive - most likely but not enough information to tell
Having someone visit him and confirm his situation would do much to eliminate most of these possible scenarios. These are not my guesses. They are based on guesses from many of the blogs I’ve read lately.

When asked about this on his blog Fr. Corapi replied

The Black SheepDog | June 22, 2011 at 5:46 pm We (I and my media company) are working on resolving the “.com” issue. As it has been made apparent on my facebook page, a former employee of mine purchased the domain name some time ago. Now, the page is redirecting to another site. We hope to have this resolved soon.

This whole thing makes me sick. Fr. Corapi was supposed to be a priest, an alter Christi–but what do we get? …

We get a Christian Barabbas or a Judas Iscariot. Fr. Corapi seems to think that his ‘contributions’–by wading out into the public arena and opining in a hideously deep voice, &c.–he can make a bigger dent in evil than offering the sacraments. This was the mistake of the Sicarii or Zealots: they attempted [AND FAILED] to do with daggers and demagoguery what Christ achieved through humble sacrifice.
