I do not think the bible nor the Catholic Church says anything about a new era coming. The catechism teaches that the eschatological judgment occurs at the end and that evil and good will exist together until then.

In St Faustinas diary she states that Jesus told her before His final coming all lights in the heavens will be extinguished and a cross will appear in the sky!

I guess it depends on how you understand “end” and what that might mean.

…admittedly, to suggest that ‘era’ could replace “end”, might be a rather dramatic understatement on my part! I interpret “end” as an ‘end of all things as we know it, or knew them.’ Ready for renewal, so to speak.

Friardships.No one knows the time of the end and it is useless to speculate.Just live your life in a state of grace and obedience.

One does one’s best, although one’s best, might not be one’s best, or we might be assuming our best is better than what our best really is. Fortunately, we don’t. Know what our best is, that is…so all we can do is hope and aim to do better. On a serious note, I like what you said at the end of your sentence (in bold).

Hi! Well, Pope Francis has already declared a year of mercy running from Dec. 2015, so this would lead up to just before 2017. Maybe this is why he proposed it? You might be right!

I truly do not believe that we are dealing with ***the end of the world ***and the Second Coming yet. Although I am no prophet. I do believe that the Pius XIII incident is actually pointing us to the end of an era filled with Satan’s diabolical activily. The War between Heaven and hell might take many battles. But I could be wrong.

Let remember that the TRIUMPH OF THE IMMACULATE HEART was promised at Fatima.

I think the anti-Christ has already been doing this for some time:

Holocaust.
Abortion (although always happened in various countries).
Euthanasia.
Terrorism (ISIS and Boko H - present).
Gay marriage.
Naughty clergy.
Communism.
Gender modification.
Militant atheism and anti-Christian media.
Drug wars and violence.
Anti-Church cults.
NSA p?).
Political corruption.
Wars and genocide and extermination.
Materialism.
Libertarianism (if that’s a word).
People trafficking.
Pornography and the sex industry.
Decrease in vocations and laity Church attendance.
High divorce rates.
Pollution.

Etc…

An increase in many things bad. The things that make it worse in the last hundred years or so is that we are culpable because information, education and knowledge is and has been available leaving no excuses for evil to occur.

Things could get worse still. But we have to keep praying. Things can also get better via one way! Not everything is bad.

I am very familiar with the biblical quote, but I still disagree.
The battle between the serpent and the Woman has been predicted since Genesis, I do not believe that the beginning of the conversion of a tortured nation such as Russia will suffice to fulfilled the amazing Creator’s prophecy of the Protoevangelium.

Once again, I do not believe that we are talking about God’s final triumph nor last Judgment here, although you seem to be. When Our Lady announced "my Immaculate Heart will triumph" at Fatima, she never suggested nor mentioned the Final Judgment. That is why we have repeatedly made the distinction between* “end of an era”* vs. *“end of the world.” *
We are dealing with Marian prophecy and you are counteracting with Catechism and Bible end time prophecy. Respectfully, I believe we are dealing with two different kinds of divine interventions in Salvation History.
