In principle I agree with you, JamesRottnek. One should always be carriful with conspiracy theories. The problem here is that we are not just talking about the strange theories of some internet users. It was the Church who had condemned Freemasonry and I don’t think that this was just for fun, especially because this condemnation has never been taken back. There must be a reason, also for the negative attitude of the Church against Freemasonry. Afterall Freemasonry is not the only belief system which is incompatible with Catholicism. So the question is, why does the Church have such a problem especially with Freemasonry? Afterall the Church is not a Club of conspiracy theorists who have too much time.

Chrissi

Any religion or “fraternal organization” that will not tell you every belief they stand for up front is shady. I don’t care what the reason is… none of this “you’re not ready to hear the truth yet” nonsense.

We Catholics believe all kinds of fantastic things, but at least we proclaim said things openly to the world.

Edit: Make that all Christians, it’s not just us Catholics who are witnessing!

Some of the posts about Freemasonry sound like the makings of a Dan Brown novel.🙂
I have never been a Freemason (nor have I ever known any) so I cannot say anything for certain. However, almost all of the posts in this thread look like the stuff about how the Jews are trying to take over the world and already control all of the banks and news, and it sounds like 90% of the conspiracy theories about the Catholic Church. I think all of you need to not post things you’ve heard like these unless you have real proof. I don’t mean to be rude or anything, but your posts really just seem like all of the other crazy conspiracies.
Actually, some of the stuff proclaimed as their own history is far more fanciful than what I’ve read here. Egyptian sun cults, underground masonic dynasties, etc., etc. – that they try to pass off as their own history (of course, the actual version varies from lodge to lodge or rite to rite – I’m not certain of their formal structure).

I don’t want to come off as coming after anyone. I started this thread from personal experience. I was a mason and over half of my family are masons. You want to see sparks fly show up for a family gettogether. 😃

Some may be over the top by reading but most OCULT activity is.

lol…I was looking at Repo Wars and a man was calling the repoman the Lucifer because his car was getting took. It’s funny that people holding religious offices are so quick to call somebody the devil.lol.

Anywho, I’m a God fearing, saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost Christian. I’m also a freemason. I haven’t done anything occult. And if most people really knew about masonry, most of Pikes ideals were thrown out. Everyone in my lodge are Christians. 🤷

Point blank, people bash what they don’t know and when they read biased articles, they base their opinions from that. I’ve participated in many events and I’m as high as my age allows, and if anything was occult, I would know.

What’s funny (and sad) is how hard people like you have to try and convince Catholics that being a Mason is not problematic.
To disobey the Church is to disobey Christ.
Calling yourself a “God fearing, saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost Christian” doesn’t lend you any more credence either, because we would also disagree with your faulty theology.
Point blank, you need to repent and be converted to the One, True Faith for the sake of your immortal soul. Forgive me if this sounds harsh, but I’m not gonna tip toe around this one. You are blinded my friend, I will pray for you.

I am going to have to strongly disagree with you. Nothing ocultish. YOU don’t find the smashing or stabing of the papal tiera denograting to the church. I realize you are not Catholic but still just a little respect. Also you do not have a problem with praying to the triune God next to potential muslems, odin, druids, ect… of who knows what pagan god they are potentialy calling on. Sounds a little like a OT story don’t it.

I know plenty of freemasonry. I am glad to disenvow it and kick it to the curb. Now are the individual people necisarily bad? NO just siverly mislead. And by the way Albert Pike was not misquoted when he said Lucifer was the god of freemasonry.

First mistake - I don’t try to convince Catholics of anything. If the Pope (the man) didn’t have a problem with Masons, this conversation would not be going on.

Secondly - I don’t need what I am to be justified by man. You can disagree with what you want, but I follow Jesus and what’s in the Word of God. That’s the crazy thing I’ve been reading. People are so quick to disagree without giving me 2 cents worth of scriptural background to back anything up. *look through all of my post and you can see that scripture is given). One thing about my “faulty theology” (a word which I rarely use, along with religion…tradition…and things of that nature) is I’ve been able to reference everything in the Bible, without adding or taking away (or changing words or meaning).

Point blank, I have repented for my sins and have been converted to the One, True faith; Christianity. (The Bible tells us the first group of believers The Church were called Christians…nothing else). You don’t sound harsh and I shake the dust. Before you call me blind, just make your salvation is in tact. reading 1 John 4

If you were a Mason, I would give you more insight of my views about that and it might shock you how I respond. Who did I disrespect? Also, in MackAndrew #624, Birmingham, Alabama PHA, we pray to God through His son, Jesus. If you ever came through, it would be witnessed first hand and I’ll have more than my words to back it up. And like I’ve stated earlier, PHA doesn’t even recognize anything of Pike but many Masons have discredited and put to rest anything Pike said.

Lets have a go.
Who did I disrespect?
I would find it disrespectful to God to put him on the same pedistal as any pagan god, I also have been in loge where the Bible and Quarn are on the same alter. Now as a Christian do you not see a problem with this?

Well I doubt I could now come near a loge now with out being disembowled and tied where the sea ebs and flows. 🤷

I do have a second question scottish or york?
I’m guessing york.

  1. We can talk privately 🙂
  2. I don’t put God on the same pedestal as anything or anyone. That I take seriously. Idolatry is a serious matter that most folks don’t realize how they place the smallest things over God. And I’ve never seen the Quran…ever in life. If the lodge did that, I couldn’t mess with them and if they ever do, I’m leaving. That’s me.
  3. My lodge has yet to do that…lol. But I hear you and respect your opinion.
  4. Your halfway right. I’m also Scottish Rite. (KT and 32o)

Are you from Alabama, too?

is it possible that the church is covering up a partnership with the freemasons in order to help cause disunity among all christians and help usher in the illuminati/ZOG/ one world government?

dont forget a cardinal who was a freemason almost was elected instead of pius X.

Thanks, I will continue to work out my salvation in fear and trembling, like St. Paul stated.
In case you didn’t know, the Catholic Church (the Church Christ sarted) doesn’t rely on scripture alone. If you truly desired to follow Christ you would denounce Freemasonry and join the Church Christ started, that would be the Catholic Church. I will continue to pray for your conversion and that the Holy Spirit leads you to Truth.

It was far more then one Pope who has condemned Freemasonry. But nice try on trying to make it out to be one Popes personal grudge.
If you rely on scripture then you know not to take oaths right? Did you not take oaths of secrecy, and not to divulge those secrets, at your lodge?

Yes, if you are writting a book or a movie. Otherwise, no.

Basically, as long as the Freemasons preach relivatism and the Catholic CHurch is trying to save souls, they cannot work together. Besides, neither one is trying to bring about any of that.

Feel free to pm me then. (though I do not see a issue with discusing it publicly, but which is ever more comftorable for you).

Well this is great for you. The problem is freemasonry does not see it the same way. If you ever get a chance to travel to foriegn lodges you will find the most popular religions “holy book” on the altar. Also I have seen the Quran in local lodges when a Muslim takes the oaths of a freemason. In this reguard this alone most sertanly makes freemasonry anti christian no matter what the practices are in your local lodge.
  1. My lodge has yet to do that…lol. But I hear you and respect your opinion.
:rotfl: thought it made for a sick but funny visual
