An oath’s an oath…I would say use it as sparsely as possible in accordance with Holy Writ.
Swearing the masonic oath is a free choice undertaken in the secrecy of a masonic lodge/temple? Saying those words is disturbing enough but with your hands on God’s Holy Book with penalties (symbolic or real) with those words? No siree
I beleive Oath taking is serious. You refer to its penalites as symbolic but I beleive the masonic oath is an insult to God. I know those are strong words but its what I beleive.
