OP, you’ve received practically unanimous advice on this one - Go to a priest.

If you are just trolling, please be aware that this is not a joking matter for Catholics.

Whether real or fake, it reminded me of one of my favorite stories of reverence of the Eucharist. Unfortunately, I can’t remember where this happened (and if anyone remembers or knows, please remind me).

It was a country where Catholicism was frowned upon. The priest was captured and put in a cage and a bunch of consecrated hosts were thrown on the ground. Under the cover of night, a little girl snuck behind the guards and carefully and reverently consumed the Eucharist off the ground, so reverently she didn’t even touch them with her hand, she just ate them off the ground! The priest, seeing this, tried to dissuade her for fear of her capture, but wept at seeing the reverence and bravery of the little girl. Unfortunately, I can’t remember where and when this happened, but this story reminded me of this.

If anyone has heard this story and can give me more background, please help!

God bless,
Bryan

p.s. So the moral of the story is you can sneak into the house of your friend and eat the Eucharist to free our Lord from his entrapment.

I hope you’re not wrong. I would rather this situation be fake than real.
Hopefully so, but there are unfortunately quite a few people who actually do things like this. Similarly to what a previous poster mentioned, at all Masses, my parish has extra extraordinary Eucharistic ministers stand in strategic locations so they can see if someone isn’t consuming the host. We wouldn’t need to do this if there weren’t problems with people swiping hosts.

(For those who complain of an excess number of extraordinary ministers, this is one thing to do with them…)

Thank God it was a little Catholic girl who got there, and not a woman like the one mentioned in the OP.

That story was told by Archbishop Fulton Sheen. It happened in China. A Chinese priest was imprisoned in his rectory by the communists and an 11 year old girl was martyred for her reverence and devotion to the blessed sacrament.

Here is what I found about it:tldm.org/news3/sheen.htm
A couple of months before his death Bishop Fulton J. Sheen was interviewed on national television. One of the questions was this:

“Bishop Sheen, you have inspired millions of people all over the world. Who inspired you? Was it a Pope?”

Bishop Sheen responded that it was not a Pope, a cardinal, another bishop, or even a priest or a nun. It was a little Chinese girl of eleven years of age. He explained that when the Communists took over China, they imprisoned a priest in his own rectory near the Church. After they locked him up in his own house, the priest was horrified to look out of his window and see the Communists proceed into the Church, where they went into the sanctuary and broke into the tabernacle. In an act of hateful desecration, they took the ciborium and threw it on the floor with all of the Sacred Hosts spilling out. The priest knew exactly how many Hosts were in the ciborium: thirty-two.

When the Communists left, they either did not notice, or didn’t pay any attention to a small girl praying in the back of the Church who saw everything that had happened. That night the little girl came back. Slipping past the guard at the priest’s house, she went inside the Church. There she made a holy hour of prayer, an act of love to make up for the act of hatred.

After her holy hour she went into the sanctuary, knelt down, bent over and with her tongue received Jesus in Holy Communion, (since it was not permissible for laymen to touch the Sacred Host with their hands.)

The little girl continued to come back each night to make her holy hour and receive Jesus in Holy Communion on her tongue. On the thirty-second night, after she had consumed the last and thirty-second host, she accidentally made a noise and woke the guard who was sleeping. He ran after her, caught her, and beat her to death with the butt of his rifle. This act of heroic martyrdom was witnessed by the priest as he watched grief-stricken from his bedroom window.

When Bishop Sheen heard the story he was so inspired that he promised God he would make a holy hour of prayer before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament everyday of his life. If this frail, little child could give testimony and witness to the world concerning the real and wonderful Presence of her Savior in the Blessed Sacrament, then the Bishop was absolutely bound by all that was right and true, to do the same. His sole desire from then on was to bring the world to the burning Heart of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.

The little girl showed the Bishop what true courage and zeal really is; how faith could overcome all fear, how true love for Jesus in the Eucharist must transcend life itself. What is hidden in the Sacred Host is the glory of His love. The sun in the sky is symbolic of the Son of God in the Blessed Sacrament. This is why most monstrances are in the form of a sunburst. As the sun is the natural source of all energy, the Blessed Sacrament is the supernatural source of all grace and love. The Blessed Sacrament is JESUS, the Light of the world.

Thank you so much for the story. That is so beautiful.

Ah, yes, I remember now that it was from the Archbishop Fulton Sheen’s interview. He told the story so beautifully. Thank you for sharing it. The basics of the story have stayed with me for the last few years, just didn’t have all of the details.

I hope you’re not wrong. I would rather this situation be fake than real.
Same here. But even if it is fake, I can’t help but wonder what kind of disordered thinking would lead someone to post something like this on a predominantly Catholic message board.

It was China - Archbishop Fulton Sheen dedicated his nightly adoration to this little girl.

**I have never heard that story before.
It made me cry!
It humbled me!

Does anyone know the child’s name?

As for the story this person has told about the Consecrated Hosts’ in the scrap book…
If there is ANY truth to that story…SHAME ON THEM!

It made me think of a story I recently saw on youtube.
There is a man on there who is encouraging people to steal the Eucharist and to desecrate It publicly!

I haven’t been Catholic for very long and I had NO idea that people do these kinds of things.

It’s a SAD world that we live in and Satan and his croanies are having a party…but I’ve read the BOOK…have NO FEAR Dear Ones…we WIN!!:D**

If that’s true then we should all make youtube accounts and flag this video until it is removed.

There actually is a campaign out there to do just that! 👍
It absolutely is true. I have seen his rant!
It made me sick.😦
I only saw it once,
I don’t know if it’s still on there, I pray they have banned it!!
It was called The Eucharistic Challenge.
One guy stole a Consecrated Host and burned It with a blow torch.:bighanky:

What I don’t understand, is if they don’t believe in Jesus, why would they find joy in desecrating what we believe to be His Body?😊

Anyway, I haven’t been back there.
I have prayed for them though, that Our Lord will work in there lives.

You know they do stuff like this just to get hits online, a massive amount of viewers. They are emotionally and intellectually lacking. It’s like child psychology, they will destroy what is most sacred to you, because they get a kick out of your reactions.
What I don’t understand, is if they don’t believe in Jesus, why would they find joy in desecrating what we believe to be His Body?😊
It’s all done to hurt you. No other reason.
Anyway, I haven’t been back there.

Don’t visit it again. Only do what benefits you, not what breaks you.

There are dozens if not more videos on youtube of Eucharist desecration. 😦
It’s really disgusting and youtube should remove them.

It’s a real life example of an internet troll. The joy does not come from the desecration. It comes from getting a rise out of others. In particular, others they clearly have no respect for and just want to laugh at as they get all upset over a tiny piece of bread.
