No it doesn’t equate the exploitation of children, women, and sometimes men with abortion, but it does equate the exploitation of any human being with voting for a pro-abortion candidate who will not coerce anyone to get an abortion and, except for his or her views on abortion, has ideas that will probably benefit society as a whole.

In fact, it considers exploitation of the weak worse than voting pro-abortion.

What are you actively doing to stop abortion? People need to ask themselves that question because withholding a vote isn’t going to stop it.
Lily, any predictions on how well the recipient of Gabby Gifford’s endorsement will do this weekend in I believe Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, and Maine?

Gabrielle Giffords has made a rather emotional endorsement for Hillary Clinton.I think it’s a powerful endorsement because it would take a very hard-hearted person not to feel sympathy for Giffords. She fought a very hard battle, and I don’t know that it isn’t still on-going, though her voice sounded strong and fine in the ad. I agree with Giffords that we do have a gun problem in the US and that Clinton isn’t afraid to stand up to gun lobbyists.

Whatever one thinks of Clinton,*** I hope all wish Giffords the best in her continuing fight to regain a normal and productive life. She is an inspiration to many.
There seems to be a galactic proportion issue there

Since 1972 & Roe V Wade, in this country alone, 1.5 million abortions/yr x 44 years = 66 million murders of the innocents through abortion. That’s over 4000 murders/day of innocent children.

Hilary Clinton endorses abortion at any stage of life including late term abortion.

Talk about terrorism!!!
Isis doesn’t even come close to that carnage.

Exactly.
When a nation makes a decision that this is acceptable, we can’t really blame any of the other issues on anyone but ourselves.
May God have mercy.

As Pope Francis said, and as Sy quoted him, we can’t focus on issues related to abortion all the time.

We have laws prohibiting theft, too, but it doesn’t stop people from stealing. We have laws against rape and child molestation, but rape and child molestation still go on and on and on. The place to stop abortion isn’t with a law against it, which would be discriminatory against the Jews, we have to stop abortion by teaching children that it is wrong. We have to be more moral as a nation. Stop adulterous behavior, stop fornication, etc. We have to show children that we value the sanctity of life by valuing the living or we can’t expect them to grow up to value the unborn. As a nation, we don’t do that.

LOL Well, as you know, Sy, I didn’t do too well with my last predictions! But I’ll give it a go. She’ll take Kansas, Louisiana, and Nebraska, but not Maine. Maine will go to Sanders.

There’s the Kentucky and Puerto Rico caucuses, too. Clinton.

I’m really looking forward to March 15th and Florida and Ohio. For the Republicans, if there are any left, as well as the Democrats.

Are you willing to share your predictions?

It does if you’re one whose kidnapped and killed by ISIS. Ask Cardinal Sarah whose country has been ravaged by Boko Haram and young girls given to ISIS so they can be traded for arms, etc. It matters greatly, I can’t say how greatly, to the parents of those young girls, who love them as much as any American parent loves his or her children. I’ve been corresponding with Cardinal Sarah ever since he was my “adoptee” to pray for during the Synod on the Family.

God values all lives, not just those of the unborn. And I am against abortion and a Sanders supporter, not a Clinton supporter. And, Church teaching allows me to vote for either with no culpability.

Facts do matter.

.
And that has been through both Republican and Democrat administrations.

They don’t say you can’t.

Why not? If it a rational conclusion…

I don’t know why you bring up “taxpayer funded”, except to tap into the feelings of the resentment against taxes in general. The fact that abortions are funded by taxes adds only minimally to the evil that is abortion. Whether they are paid for by taxes or paid for by the fathers, it is all the same to the baby that does not get a chance to live.
And voting for a pro-abortion candidate, the baby is just as dead!! I wouldn’t want that on my conscience ever! No matter how you twist around it. I was married and had several babies before I even knew what an abortion was. (it started in Colo. where I lived at the time in about 1967) Miscarriage yes, but not dreaming a mother would ever want to kill her own baby. We’ve come a LONG way baby, and you pay the price. God help us. God Bless, Memaw.

I think we have.

If Kasich is out, I’ll write him in.
I agree.John Kasich is the grown up in the room is very qualified and even keeled. After last nights disgusting and sophomoric display by the others’,he clearly stands out as a viable option. Here is hoping he catches on from here on out.👍

And that has been through both Republican and Democrat administrations.
Yes, the Republicans have had more than 40 years to put an end to abortion if they wanted to, and they can’t just say, “Well, it’s all the Democrats’ fault.” That won’t fly.

John Kasich is a very nice person who would not stoop to the level of Trump et al., but I don’t think he has a chance except through a brokered convention. He’ll probably win Ohio on the 15th, though if he stays in because Ohioans like him.

So we should just look the other way and give up?
Wow.

I wouldn’t be able to face the Lord on the last day if I had that kind of philosophy.

We have been on this before, Democrats have blocked nominations of persons such as Judge Bork. There are a lot of components in this. Also, many measures have been implemented at a state level.

Judge Bork deserved to be blocked. It didn’t excuse President Reagan from blowing the next two nominees.

And that’s not counting the mothers who have died, who have been injured and left to suffer the consequences of their abortion for the rest of their lives !!! Nor how much their families have suffered. I know a Mother who tried to get her unwed daughter to get an abortion and the daughter absolutely refused. The baby was born and is the first grandchild. The Grandma loves that little one and suffers great remorse thinking she tried to talk her daughter into killing the baby. The Grandmother suffers but is also very thankful her daughter had better instincts. The grandmother was worried about “family pride”. What her friends would say. The daughter loved her unborn baby. God Bless, Memaw

You forget the House and Senate and also the Supreme Court not on their side. It takes more than just one person to do the job. And with the Dems in control, things have gotten a whole lot worse. All Americans should work together to bring America back to what it once was and try their best to keep it there. It wasn’t perfect but a thousand times better than today. God Bless. Memaw

When something has failed for 40 years, most people try a different way.

Talk about beating a dead horse.

I didn’t forget that.

The Democrats haven’t been in control of everything for more than 40 years, and it hasn’t gotten worse, it’s stayed the same. The Republicans have had control part of the time, and what did they do? Nothing.

Abortion can’t be stopped with legislation just as child molestation and pornography can’t be stopped with legislation. My brother and sisters and I would never consider abortion because we were TAUGHT from the time we could understand to value the sanctity of life. We were sent to church.

The way to stop abortion is to educate children about the sanctity of life.

Yes and capital punishment, euthanasia, unlivable minimum wage, lack of support of families with children, lack of access to healthcare, etc all undermine that education on the sanctity of life through the lifespan.
