Well you did state “this country”, I take that to mean the U.S.So about 3 times as many dead children a year than killed by Nuclear bombs in all of History-and of course that us only counting the US.

Just so you know, if you really are opposed to advocating abortion then you can’t be an advocate for ANYONE having an abortion. As I’ve said probably more than 25 times now, I vote on more than just where a candidate stands on abortion. *I’m not an advocate of abortion, but I also don’t believe in taking away a Jewish woman’s right to have an abortion as sometimes mandated by her faith. *
even our government understandsThe US is not a theocracy. We can’t intrude on another faith just to advance our own.
That’s a contradiction of thought. As I’ve said probably more than 25 times now, I vote on more than just where a candidate stands on abortion. I’m not an advocate of abortion, but I also don’t believe in taking away a Jewish woman’s right to have an abortion as sometimes mandated by her faith.
I don’t see why just because there may be other problems, that it has to mean there is not a people with guns problem. I’m not talking about the right of people with guns to protect one’s self or property or to hunt a relation to “Bambi”. Although I personally have never owned a gun for those things. I’m talking for instance about guns such as military style assault weapons with multiple magazines that can be fired rapidly at the innocents murdered in mass shootings. I don’t see why anyone needs those types of guns. Irregardless of their mental state. I doubt the founders could even imagine the weaponry available today. And the argument that I have heard that we need them to protect ourselves from Obama or the government doesn’t hold much water for me. First of all Obama has less that a year remaining as our President. If he was going to go door to door to confiscate everyone’s guns, he probably would have started by now. That’s a lot of territory to be covered. And on top of that, unless people are going to arm themselves with tanks and nukes and so forth I don’t think their militias would stand much chance against the US military today. The idea that people need all these types of weapons is something I can’t grasp. But we can disagree. Peace. The U.S. does not have a “gun” problem. I has a people problem, family problem, drug problem, accepting responsibility problem, mothers without husbands problem, children without fathers problem, just to name a few.
Guns are not the problem.
Don’t believe it? Check out how many are killed because of drugs & alcohol.
Kindly give us your explanation of just a “military style” rifle is?I don’t see why just because there may be other problems, that it has to mean there is not a people with guns problem. Of course I am.Are you the judge of that??? God Bless, memaw
I agree that to many Catholics lack passion when it comes to abortion, etc. but how do you know the “majority” lack passion. You specifically said Catholics, not “a person”. God Bless, MemawOf course I am.
Naturally I am not a judge of a persons soul. I am not God
But I am perfectly capable of discerning what people say and write about.
We all are.
A person who would vote for Hitler because he likes the socialist package that goes with it lacks passion for Jews.
A person who supports Stalin and Mao for their communism and ideals on equality lack passion for the millions that have died opposing them.
A person who votes for Hillary because she is a woman, or whatever, lacks passion for the unborn.
It defies logic to think otherwise.
Memaw, I’m not sure that the majority of Catholics even practice the faith.I agree that to many Catholics lack passion when it comes to abortion, etc. but how do you know the “majority” lack passion. You specifically said Catholics, not “a person”. God Bless, Memaw
Simply because the majority of Catholics in America vote for Democrats.I agree that too many Catholics lack passion when it comes to abortion, etc. but how do you know the “majority” lack passion. You specifically said Catholics, not “a person”. God Bless, Memaw
Logic doesn’t help your argument. One out of every five guns in America was sold SINCE OBAMA was first elected. The upsurge was mostly over the ridiculous rhetoric from the Democrats that guns are the cause of violence in America. Gun violence has actually decreased in the US in the time these tens of millions of more guns have been produced and sold in the last eight years. If you believed the gun control lobby logic - gun violence should be up at least 20%, but it is down.Gabrielle Giffords has made a rather emotional endorsement for Hillary Clinton. I think it’s a powerful endorsement because it would take a very hard-hearted person not to feel sympathy for Giffords. She fought a very hard battle, and I don’t know that it isn’t still on-going, though her voice sounded strong and fine in the ad. I agree with Giffords that we do have a gun problem in the US and that Clinton isn’t afraid to stand up to gun lobbyists.
And, no surprise, but the governor of South Carolina has also endorsed Clinton.
Whatever one thinks of Clinton, I hope all wish Giffords the best in her continuing fight to regain a normal and productive life. She is an inspiration to many.
