Lily, Clinton wants UNLIMITED UNTIL BIRTH ABORTIONS.

Killing a child does not save a woman’s life.

**I support a candidate who believes in abortion because the US Constitution calls for separation of church and state. **
So you are suggesting supporting abortion on the basis of religious freedom???

Throw all the religious arguments out the window. Just get rid of your own, and let go of MetzerBoy’s as well. Let’s fall back on science here, ok?

That “thing” that is being “removed” from the mother’s womb is a human life. Genetic make-up that is unique from the parents, self-replicating and differentiating cells, human DNA from the moment of conception.

Human. Life.

Science cannot support any other claim, regardless of religious affiliation.

Human life is protected by the Constitution – life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Murder is a federal crime.

Don’t talk to me of arguments of when the soul arrives – that has nothing to do with science. People always bring out the soul arguments when talking about the “others” in the world who are not deserving of life, whether it’s justifying a war, or the sentencing of a serial killer, or the reasoning of a terrorist killing as many as possible with a suicidal act.

Talk science and explain to me why abortion should remain legal under the current terms of US law. What makes these unborn humans unworthy of legal protection for the five months to nine months before they can survive outside their mother’s womb?

Human. Life.

To be more accurate, Clinton does not “want” anyone to have an abortion. She is just unwilling to use the power of law to prevent it.
So facilitating the killing of other peoples children is OK? And the Church teaches this where? And lets be clear-she goes far beyond just wanting it legal -she wants it taxpayer funded

she wants planned parenthood funded by taxpayers and abortion allowed UNTIL BIRTH! She would NEVER defund planned parenthood - she wants to make sure child killing is allowed for a very very long time.

Plus, she would appoint extremists to the Court. And we can NOT allow that.

No, it is not OK. But it is inaccurate to say that Clinton wants abortions. And that was my only point.

That is still not the same as saying she wants abortions.
Parse it any way you want A Catholic can’t support her

So you believe that we can ignore the teachings of the church if they conflict with our political views?
The teachings of the Church are rich and far reaching. They certainly cannot be sacrificed for a single issue. The Church cannot tell us who to vote for. It urges us to vote responsibly and to inform our conscience. That involves more than a litmus test.

Evidently you haven’t been “listening” to what she has to say about it. She is all for abortion, Planned Parenthood and their cutting up and selling body parts and will support it ALL THE WAY. For goodness sake, what would you call it??? Babies die by the thousands a day!!. God help us, Clinton sure won’t. God Bless, Memaw

I agree,a well formed conscience should and would bring one to the conclusion that voting for any politician the promoted, supports and vows to protect the intrinsic evil of abortion is an absolute no no!👍

And if the the two parties bring us Hillary and Trump, I will vote otherwise. If only more would also.

So if someone doesn’t “want” slavery but is unwilling to use the power of law to prevent it, does that mitigate the matter as well?

A lot of folks are seemingly not interested in doing that. They just want to make excuses across the political landscape and want us to applaud them along or shrug it off as a difference of opinion—maybe somewhere in-between.

It’s actually quite sensational the lengths some folks go to in order to sell out their Christian values out of selfish motives or wanting to vote the  party.

What I find curious is if they can’t fool me, how are they going to fool God, which is impossible?

We could solve a LOT of problems if we just cut the excuse-making. It’s tired, it’s old, and it doesn’t fool pretty much anyone who disagrees with the excuse-maker.

One other thing of interest: I’ve seen accounts on here ask if it’s okay to vote Democratic for or non-American political parties that are virulently anti-Catholic because, well, in their case they ALL are from their initial perspective.

But I have yet to someone ask if it’s okay to ask for him/her to vote for a conservative republican.

You never heard me state or judge, nor will you, that the poster who stated her reasons on how she can vote is ignoring church teaching.

That is right.

Opposition to abortion, like opposition to murder, opposition to rape, opposition to slavery, opposition to laws that make being Jewish a capital offense, is not a matter of personal faith.

It is a matter of reason.

The Church does not teach abortion is just against the faith, but against natural law. It is objectively evil, regardless of whether one believes in things like resurrections and miracles and virgin births.

It is quite surprising that people so highly educated in all things Catholic are unable to grasp this simple concept.

Well, then again, nothing much surprises me anymore.
