My manager smokes pot, his manager smokes pot, the manager above him has smoked pot and probably the one above that. Therefore, obviously, if I want to be a manager, I should smoke pot?

BTW- In my social work I did investigations so about 60% of the cases were people who did not need ongoing social services so when I said ALL walks of life it was really true. It wasn’t a small sample it was a wide, diverse sample of the population.
Yes, it should be kept in mind. But so should it be kept in mind, that it is estimated that less than 10% of vaccine reactions are actually reported, usually poo pooed by doctor’s as “not related.” I find that easy to believe because most doctors are NOT AWARE of the adverse reactions in the first place. They know the spiel. They know the scare tactics. They know the risks of the diease they are supposed to prevent (sometimes) but I have never met one that knows the risks of the vaccines themselves, the actual ingredients of teh vaccines or the adverse reactions associated with each vaccine. Just the standard … “you can expect a mild fever and soreness or redness at the injection site, just give them a little tylenol” speech that is given by rote to EVERY patient regardless of current health status and medical history. I feel that doctors should be REQUIRED to have a thorough understanding of the vaccines themselves BEFORE being given the responsibility of injecting them. Otherwise, how can they know which children are at risk from the vaccine itself? I do not think tis is unreasonable. In any other profession we can expect expertise and knowledge. Why not pediatricians in the area of vaccines … that is the majority of their practice!!It’s not possible for Gardasil to cause genital warts because it does not contain any form or variation of HPV. Well over 20 million have been vaccinated with Gardasil and only a fraction of a percent have reported adverse events (most of which have not been proven to be the result of the vaccination) and a microscopic number have died. Keep in mind the fact that vaccine recipients can report anything and everything physically negative that has happened to them post vaccination and it will be included as an adverse event.
So let’s take the Influenza (seasonal) vaccine. What would you like health care providers to say about the risks of this vaccine that they’re not telling us?They know the risks of the diease they are supposed to prevent (sometimes) but I have never met one that knows the risks of the vaccines themselves, the actual ingredients of teh vaccines or the adverse reactions associated with each vaccine.

I think this states my opinion very clearly without the need for going into the risks/benefits of particular vaccines. I am really not interested in that. Do you think my above post is unreasonable?I feel that doctors should be REQUIRED to have a thorough understanding of the vaccines themselves BEFORE being given the responsibility of injecting them. I agree with you on this one but I don’t think we should let anti-vaccine hysteria and myth cloud our judgment. I also find it pretty humorous that a lot of people opposed to vaccination don’t mind stuffing their faces with genetically modified food. There’s never been a study to determine the long term effects of the consumption of GMF and there’s only been one study on the short term effects on humans which included a measly seven participants.I feel that doctors should be REQUIRED to have a thorough understanding of the vaccines themselves BEFORE being given the responsibility of injecting them. Yes, you’re right. i fel that having doctors be more knowledgable in the areas of vaccines could help foster trust in a skeptical (rightly so!) segment of the population. If peoples reasons stem from distrust, then it would be wise to spend the time and resources to become more trustworthy then to alienate them even more. I know many people that feel their doctors are not knowledgable enough about vaccines and received their education on vaccines over lunch with a pharmaceutical rep. If there was a more customized approach to vaccines, and a demonstratable knowledge onthe part of teh doctors. I believe more people would vaccinate, instead of expecting them to swallow a watermelon and telling them its a grape.
Personally, I don’t understand how having the doctor be nothing more than a middle man for the pharmaceutical companies is expected to inspire trust and confidence in the peds (pharmas) vaccine recommendations.Seriously. I believe they should be throughly trained by someone other than the pharmacuetical reps when it comes to vaccines. I don’t need a commercial, I need a doctor who can use the information he has learned ALONG WITH HIS BRAIN … why am I paying for a parrot?
