I am not in support of gay marriage but these statements do tend to push some nuts over the edge and then they go out and bash someone they know is gay or even ssa. Why can’t we be a little more polite in our wording?

What is your source for this statement? Do you have a verifiable news article that actually documents gay bashing directly inspired by Catholic teaching? Please provide evidence for this absurd allegation.

I used to really dislike what Rosie has said about the Catholic Church on that show, yet now I think she might actually be doing us a favor. Everytime she spots off about the Church, she is showing people that the Church has not changed, and there are many people today looking for a solid foundation to follow.

I say send her the article and lets hope she blast the Church bigtime. 🙂

Oh puleeze, enough of nicety words. Such thing do not make the human race more progessive for the last few decades. Better to be point direct and tell like it is!

Beside, the Vatican did not condemn homosexual orientation! Please make the distinction before judging !
 
The killing of the unborn is evil. While I do not see homosexual behavior as healthy I am uncomfortable with calling an act between two consenting adults evil.

Unfortunately there is no documented evidence but what exactly inspires gaybashing anyhow? It is often fueled by misunderstanding of what someone with ssa actually goes through. They are told time and again they can’t be open about their struggles, keep it between themselves and a counselor. Otherwise they are trying to influence the young. Well there will always be youth growing up with these feelings no matter how much we try to shield them from it. While there is no genetic proof yet a biological cause has not been outruled either. So while we can support them in celibacy we need not live in fear of them sharing what goes on inside.

So I guess everyone that has ever been in a relationship will suddenly be turned away on judgement day. Sorry it is a requirement for us Catholics but those who live outside the Church may very well be accepted into God’s loving arms despite who they have had sex with.

This idea of not clearly stating “policy” so as not to “annoy” those who SHOULD be annoyed by those policies is ridiculous.

Uh,… no,… God has one set of rules, which He applies to everyone. That’s kinda the reason behind the whole “One God” thing…!!

But,… there is the “invincible ignorance” thing, as well as the “by the grace of God ANYTHING is possible” loophole,… but how many people really haven’t heard about the rules that we’re talking about here?
