I am disturbed that this man is defending priests who have had sex with children. I have no concern at all about his homosexuality, but adults who have sex with children should be condemned for their actions. His theory that abuse of children by adult priests is caused by ‘arrested sexual development’ may or may not be true as a contributor to the tendency, but it does not excuse the action, or lessen its severity. I am also disturbed that the Catholic posters in this thread are critical of his sexual life with an adult, but have not criticised his attitude to children.
