This is visible proof of what kind of people these so called palestinians are.

Did you really believe there would be peace by pulling out of Gaza.

Two points:
  1. All the buildings left behind in Gaza were supposed to be raised to the ground by the Israelis. Did they do the others and leave the “synogogues?”
2 ) The reason for putting the word “synagogue” in quotation marks is because my understanding of Judaism is that without the Torah inside, the building itself is completely meaningless.

Bigoted references to “so-called Palestinians” are deplorable.

Now, we’re waiting for a post detailing the continuous, ongoing Israeli policy of bulldozing Palestinian homes; the humiliating and oppressive reality of military checkpoints which Palestinians must deal with on a daily basis; and appropriating Palestinian property in the West Bank for the benefit of Israeli “settlers”. Not to mention the apartheid wall (aka the “security fence”). This isn’t a one-way street. It’s not poor little Israel beset by screaming Palestinian hordes anymore. We need a balanced account of what’s going on there, and a balanced account means telling the Palestinian side.

OK, the Palistinian side is that that want to kill all Jews and eradicate the state of Israel. All of the complaints you have listed are a result of the 6 day war in which Israel’s Arab neighbors attacked Israel. Israel has a right to self defense. When rockets are fired from a Palestinian home, I agree that it should be razed. If your neighbors pit bull constantly came into your yard and attacked you, I’ll bet the least of your response would be to build a fence no matter what difficulty it caused your neighbor.

So called, in reference to there has never been a Palestinian state.

Lurch104:
Actually no. Until it is recognized it is not a state.
Wonder how many need to recognize though… seems like it would be a self-creating entity though.

Are you saying that a reference to “so-called Jews” would have been OK prior to 1948, since there was no state of Israel then?

Actually, that’s not true. If you wish to apply some form of bigotry to a historically correct referrence, then I suppose that’s your problem.

:rotfl:Before or after the next suicide bomb goes off in a bus full of Israeli kids?

There are also extremist Jews who want to drive all the Palestinians out of “Judea and Samaria”.

Why would you want to characterize an entire people because of the views of an extremist few?

Palestinian rocket attacks against Israel are almost never launched from Palestinian homes.

Israel routinely employs the bulldozer against the homes of Palestinians who have nothing to do with terrorist attacks.

I don’t think you understand who’s the real pit bull here. The Israelis have wealth, a strong military, and a stable economy. By way of comparison, the Palestinians barely live at a subsistence level. The Palestinians can be blamed for a good part of that, but Israel must take its share of the blame, too.

Hmm…

Your use of the ROFL icon indicates you’re more interested in sneering one-liners than in serious discussion.

You also seem to have a problem seeing what the Vatican sees: that terrorism has it roots in day-to-day injustices of the type suffered by the Palestinians.

The question is the injustice caused by Israel, the PA, or the surrounding arab countries? Or all three?

I would say Israel bears the brunt of the guilt, since Israel illegally occupies Palestinian lands.

The PA, IMO, is faced with nearly insurmountable odds. First, it must cope with the likes of Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other militant groups which it is expected to rein in. It does not have the strength to do so. And it does not have the strength to do so because Israel is doing its utmost to see to it that the PA remains weak. A vibrant, healthy Palestinian state, which would include an adequate military and a lively economy is the last thing Israel wants. Israel wants a “Finlandized” Palestinian state, one which has no ability to act in an independent manner; one which it can control.

Actually, I’m laughing cuz it’s the only reasonable response to a historically incorrect/nonsensical statement.

More flawed logic. My laughing at your historically incorrect statement has zip to do with the Vatican, and the so-called Palestinians.

The folks calling themselves, Palestinians would be better served if they stopped following the ‘leadership’ of terrorist-homicidal maniacs like Hamas and Al-Aqsa. They might actually start creating a life for themselves instead of being the proud exporters of terrorism and death we’ve all come to know these past 40 years or so.

Another historically incorrect statement, unless you can cite the laws Israel violated, of course:)

You do a great job calling statements of those you disagree with “flawed” and “illogical”, without ever providing a shred of supporting argumentation

Why is it that the entire civilized world, which includes first and foremost the Vatican, and also includes many Israelis, can see the merit of the Palestinian cause and the need for a just settlement to this dispute, except for those like you? It seems your hatred for the Palestinians has blinded you. I say this not as a personal attack, but only to make an observation.

Jews are both a people and a religion. There was no Jewish state before 1948, but a jewish people, yes.

:rotfl:Been proven over and again in past threads.
Why is it that the entire civilized world,
Error of fact. The entire civilized world doesn’t accept terrorism as a means for these former Jordanians & Egyptians to be given their own state.
which includes first and foremost the Vatican, and also includes many Israelis, can see the merit of the Palestinian cause and the need for a just settlement to this dispute, except for those like you?
More flawed logic/fallacious arguments stacked on top of each other. Btw, who & what are folks like me supposed to be. Draw us a lil’ picture, please?

Merit? These same peoples were offered their own land/state in 1948 and refused. Merit?
It seems your hatred for the Palestinians has blinded you.
More flawed logic to go with a error of fact. You assume because I disagree with your historically false assertion regarding the so-called Palestinians I also hate the former Jordanians and Egyptians you want to call Palestinians. I don’t hate anyone. Especially since deciding to convert to the Catholic Church.
I say this not as a personal attack, but only to make an observation.
The principles of the Hamas are stated in their Covenant or Charter, given in full below. Following are highlights. *“Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.” *

"The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up. "

“There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors.”
