But what you believe is what you are. We describe ourselves AS Catholics, Jews say they ARE Jews, not believe in Jewish traditions.

What an insulting thing to say on behalf of those that suffered in the Holocaust.

And what an odd way to look at it…should there never be any revolutions under any circumstances? Paradigm shifts are what change the course of history…without it we would have never progressed from the dark ages.

Once again im not saying that Marxism is the solution im just saying differences in ideologies at the hands of the oppressed is what changes history

If I am black, I can believe that I am the Tooth Fairy. I will still be black. I am a libertarian. It is what I believe. What would be worse, to you. Killing me because I am a white American man, or killing me because I am a Christian?

Americans would be British had the British government represented them fairly. There would have been no bloodshed or independence.

You misunderstood my post. I stated that what we are and what we believe cannot be seperated, so to attack one is to attack the other.

Of course they can be separated.

In Sudan they are killing Christians, who are the same ethinicity as the Muslims. They are killing them specifically for their beliefs. It is the distinguishing characteristic.

In Egypt, Coptic Christians are fully Egyptian…but are also Christian by faith. They are not killing them for what they are, they are being killed for what they believe.

Oh CAF’ers will be riding the “it’s Obamas fault” train for any problem a GOP President faces if they are elected next term or the one after. It’s going to be years and years before they stop blaming Obama.

You know it’s true. Heck YOU WILL BE DOING IT!

The ire towards Obama on the far right, has known no equal in modern American attitudes.

I will certainly be casting my vote to, at least, cancel out one GOP vote coming in Nov. In fact, I’ll cancel yours personally. 🙂

Europe never had slavery. They had serfs, who worked for their masters in the summer, but were responsible for getting themselves through the winter on their own.

There was much unfairness and plenty fo uprisings and revolutions and bloodshed there too, not the least of which was the rise of communist and socialists states in the name of the proletariat and a workers paradise.

Mainly though, slavery ended by Britain deciding on religious grounds that it was immoral and un-Christian, and deciding to do something about it through the power that they wielded as masters of the High Seas.

We did have slavery. Britain played a major part in the US slave trade.
