Haven’t seen the ad. I never voluntarily watch ads on youtube. But I don’t like preachy ads anyway. Just sell the product.

Well what do you call the obvious murderous rage often on display in “girl fights?” I have direct experience with both boys fighting boys and girls fighting girls and I can assure you the dynamics are often very different.
Perhaps it’s just a matter of
“Girls will be girls,” eh? 😁

Yet you stated that you’ve never heard men speak crudely about women or objectify them sexually. It seems that isn’t true. Our POTUS did and we all saw it.
That wasn’t me. But I can imagine some people do not encounter that.
“Feral”? When women fight they become wild animals?
The fight I saw in middle school between two girls was best described as feral. They were scratching and clawing. One girl tore the others shirt and exposed her bra. She also ripped the girl’s earring out. Men would tend to pummel each other more. It is a different style.

There you go, mansplaining girls fighting. Just like me, lol!
In a fight I witnessed between two high school girls, one immediately took off her stilletto heeled shoe and weaponized it. Immediately.

Yeah, it seems more personal. When I was young a neighbor kid and I would physically fight all the time. But we’d also play football together and otherwise act as friends. I think it more likely after a physical fight for guys to let it go. Whereas for women I don’t think a physical fight solves the problem or eases the tension. For men a fight is often the end of the problem.

Cathoholic on stereotyping gay people.
Pornography. Child molestation. Violations of indecency laws. Public bathroom hookups. Is this the best the male homosexual community can get?
blackforest’s response to my complaints about people stereotyping gays?
“It wouldn’t bother me.”
Well blackforest, I guess then it’s OK to steotypically attack gays (in your world) because you have universalized your “feelings”.

.

blackforest . . .
It wouldn’t bother me, although it shouldn’t just target gay men. Heterosexuals do all of these things, including the last one.
That’s part of the point (that you are missing regarding this commercial) blackforest.

People OTHER than “men” do these things too!

Catty “meangurls” bully too.

Homosexual female teachers homosexually molest and bully school girls.

Lesbians show up at college women’s hockey games and start “cat-calling” the college girls.

Heterosexual women seduce school boys.

Lesbian military officers push male soldiers of less rank around egregiously at times.
Pornography. Child molestation. Violations of indecency laws. Public bathroom hookups. Is this the best the male homosexual community can get?

Yet just because people other than men, DO this sort of thing, you don’t go out and criticize “women”.

“Women can do better than this.”

It is man-hating stereotyping and bigoted behavior.

Speaking of football, it’s a real molder of men. Just look at Coach Rollo at Mater Dei. Though I’m sure some see him as a symbol of the oppressive male patriarchy with his scowl and his handlebar moustache.

(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)

Here come the white male oppressors!
Oh wait…some of them are black, Hispanic, Asian, Pacific Islanders. And they are taught to and do treat women, each other and even their opponents with respect.

Well, they actually hit in American football rather than cuddle around in, what’s that called? The “scrum?” 😉

Lou2U . . .
But the ad acknowledges that not all men exhibit the behaviour that was shown in the first part. It’s not aimed at all men.
The commercial paints this picture like this is a “man” problem and it is not.

Yes they paint some men as helpful against their stereotyping to be sure to dilute the fallout.

But the stereotyping still exists.

That is exactly WHY they ask . . .
Bullying. Harassment. Is this the best A MAN can get? . . . .
Just asking questions framed that way is inappropriate. It is a more subtle form of anti-man bigotry, but bigotry it is.

Just plug in your favorite politically correct group (instead of men) and re-do the commercial that way in your mind.

Actually for one I tend to agree with conservatives here I do not wish Gillette to be doing preachy ads whilst selling me razor blades.
Jharek. Respect out to you for your consistency here.

You told me the same thing with Google search memes and said you held to that IN PRINCIPLE. (You do not want companies preaching to you.)

Today you proved this to me.

As I (seriously) said. Respect out from me to you here.

I heard when somebody breaks their leg they have to do the Maori war dance at the after game beer party.

Real men here use straight razors only. Tourniquets are for sissies, if we nick an artery we just do push-ups until the bleeding stops.

As long as the barber’s hands don’t shake, or he starts talking about his psych meds, I’m good.

Anyway if people think this uproar is loud, wait until it gets out that Gillette has been coating their blades with estrogen.
Yep. You heard it here first. Be woke.

Shaky hands and a shave with a straight blade would not be fun.

(Sorry prayerrider. I didn’t want to “go against the grain” here. It might cause a rash . . . . of complaints.)

Pretty “sharp” wit in that comment.

“Lilac water!” 🤣
“Toxic masculinity” is rampant in this film. I love “Josey Wales” too, not to mention “Pale Rider.”

Wait…you cut the video link? I was just gettin’ motivated to mosey on over to the range!
Did he still have his Colt SAA with the rattlesnake grip in that one, or was he using his 1840s Walkers by then?
His Spaghetti Westerns jump started the Italian Colt clone industry, now going strong. I have two.

But as we’ve seen time and again, the level of “I’m offended” here is usually noticeably higher than in the general population.
.

I don’t know about the people here at CAF vrs. elsewhere and their proverbial “offense-O-meters”.

But I do know that there were over a million DISLIKES against the commercial that was screen-captured from youtube (see it here).

About a two to one against the commercial from a largely NON CAF crowd.
