Given the Muslim reaction to the Popes speech are you afraid for his life?

Agreed, God’s will be done. The courgage to say what he did is evidence the Spirit is with Him.
I trust He will continue to be protected until he accomplishes the mission the Lord has willed for him.
If he is to be slain, as was Our Lord, we can be most assured his death will serve a monumental purpose to God’s overall plan. Only good would come from it.
But in the end, God’s will be done.
Amen from me, too. It’s difficult to accept that the Lord’s plan may not be what we would desire but I’m trying to find a place of peace in my heart about this Pope that I love dearly and accept God’s will. I’m praying for his safety, as well. The courgage to say what he did is evidence the Spirit is with Him.

I am proud of the Pope and what he said. Hiding from the truth, that is obviously not Pope Benedict’s style. The courgage to say what he did is evidence the Spirit is with Him.

This will not deter suicide bombers.I dont know, he has some of the best bodyguards in world around him, and I doubt anyone would try something in public if they dont want the Italians tearing them apart.
We have already seen how violent Muslim fascists will stop at nothing.
Nothing, not 911, not suicide bombings, not the incessant Muslim-on-Muslim murder that goes on in the Islamic world, has ever better exemplified for me the fact that Islam is the ultimate “culture of death”.Osama bin Laden has said in the past that the West will see that Muslims love death more than the West loves life.
OK let’s look at the definition of “facism” from dictionary.comWe have? I haven’t seen Muslim fascists do anything at all.
Is there any chance, perhaps, that people could understand what ‘fascist’ means (other than ‘very, very nasty thing’) before calling people it?
Mike
It doesn’t even mention religion! That’s because fascism isn’t to do with religion. I think religion is quite important to Bin Laden and his followers.OK let’s look at the definition of “facism” from dictionary.com
"a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism. "
Not at all. ‘Theocracy’ would be somewhat closer (not a perfect description, but a heck of a lot better than ‘fascism’).This sounds much like the goverment advocated by bin Laden and much like what existed in Afganastan, when bin Laden was living there under the goverment’s protection, while plotting 09/11.
Yes he did. It doesn’t mean he was right to do so.President Bush used the term “Islamic fascists” to describe those who recently were caught planning to blow up planes flying from London to the USA.
Because it is incorrect. Why do you disagree with the term?
What on earth makes you think that ‘Britain will fall to Islam’? People who say this kind of thing don’t seem to have any clue about what the reality of the situation we are in actually is.Hey Mike? If Britain falls to Islam, will you convert?
It may well be a serious situation, but again, I have no idea why you think we will ‘fall to Islam’. The question doesn’t even arise. It’s scaremongering. Just like people used to do about the Catholics (ad the Jews) here.I can’t conceive of my British ancestors doing so but your cavalier treatment of a very serious situtation gives me pause.
