whats the sense anymore. I cant seem to have a happy life, no matter how much i pray. My marriage is ****, full of mistrust and i cant seem to get over my mothers death. She only died in July and i know it takes time.

i am angry with my older sister for being so selfish during my mom’s short illness, i am jealous over my stepson’s girlfriend. they just had a baby, shes only 19 and everyone is in such awe over her. i dont recall ever getting such a warm welcome from my husbands family and his mother still slips out his ex-wifes first name…whats the use anymore

Holy Spirit, I need wisdom, discernment and unconditional love. Will You share Yours with me? Help me to persevere in these necessary virtues, even where there is wounding within me greater than anyone is aware. Help me to carry my daily responsibilities with faith and hope.

Help me to forgive those who have sinned terribly against me or my loved ones. I need healing for injuries and scars that prevent me from fully becoming the person I am created to be. Come into my mind and soul, and help me through the rest of my life.

I need You, Holy Spirit. Please access the gifts and beauty of my unique creation in God’s image. For others’ benefit and for Your glory, give me a deep appreciation and use of the goodness, loveliness joy and blessing of this creation that You mean me to be.

“Pray for a strong spirit, the Spirit of God. And thank God often for yourself, for His gift to you.” Priest in Confession, Divine Mercy Sunday

Father please hear our prayers for renatas and heal her from the eomotional wounds she is suffering.Grant her Your Holy Spirit guide her along the right path and may her heart and mind be open to Your will.Comfort her while she grieves and console her with love. Please Lord grant healing to our sister in her time of need.Through Christ our Lord Amen

Lord, I pray that Renata finds peace, strength, and patience in her circumstances. May the Eucharist and other sacraments provide her with supernatural grace to sustain her. May she be stengthened in faith, hope, and love by receiving you in the Eucharist and find comfort and refuge in receiving you. May she persevere in prayer and persevere in remaining in a state of grace so she can endure amid her trials with peace and joy. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

Heavenly Father please grant Renata wisdom and healing.
Please help her to the graces that will enable her to facilitate a happier atmosphere and more wholesome relationships around her.
Please gently heal her heart and mind of her long-term sorrow and its consequences, and please grant peace to her home and family. I ask in Jesus’ name.

I understand your suffering. Please remember that God never gives us more than we handle. Keep praying. YOU remain faithful and continue being the person God wants you to be. Please your husband at the foot of the Cross, and Jesus deal with him. (I’m doing this myself). I know it’s hard, very hard, but hang in there awhile longer. I think God will do something soon.

Blessings,
Judi

Renata,

I am so deeply sorry for your loss of your mother and for your continued unhappiness. I also have been struggling with the highs and lows of my divorce and it isn’t easy. John and I do not have any children together so at times it is hard. I continue to keep you in my prayers and have worried about you so I was relieved to see you back on the forum. May you know that there are many here that love you and keep you in their prayers.

Hugs & Love,
Cheryl( aka Cassie)

I am very sorry for the death of your mother. Praying hard that you find comfort in your struggles.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of our death. Amen

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us. And after this our exile, show unto us the blessed Fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, o Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.

I hope and pray that you find hapiness.
It must be hard when the people around you act in ways that hurt you
and don’t seem to care.

GBY.

Our father who art in Heaven.

Hallowed be thy’ name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done.

On Earth as it is in Heaven.

and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from

evil.

All the best to you.

O Lord, Holy Father, omnipotent and eternal God, I give You thanks and I bless Your holy name. I know I’m a poor miserable sinner but hear a cause that is just, pay heed to my cry, turn your ear to my prayer, no deceit is on my lips. Amen

Coming to your thread this morning made me think, and I was wondering, how many people are actually happy, or for any length of time. My dear youngest son’s email last evening, having lost the love of his life, “Today was a bad day.” He’s keeping busy working, doing a course, socializing when he can, but his grief continues to be raw, and sometimes he cries at work, but gets on with it anyway. My other sons have their problems, the eldest serious ones, due to others’ actions, my husband always in pain, having arthritis, chronic fatigue and other problems also. I have a couple of illnesses myself, but I keep them to myself at home because my husband is so obviously sicker! We have no home and I miss having a garden, or having any finances to help my kids. And it’s true that my sons choices are their choices, but they’ve all left the Faith, raising their children without, although I’ve managed to get some in there generally to two who live near; and I find it difficult not to call myself a failure, as it’s what I really do feel. I know the theology about all that of course, but it doesn’t stop one from feeling like that. What I have, is ‘trying’. I always try. Sometimes I fall apart briefly, but always get back to trying. And I get on with helping people where I can. I go to daily Mass as much as I can, I pray, mostly for others. I don’t usually think about whether I’m happy, because it doesn’t do to. I empathise too much which makes life hard for me but means I’m concerned for others. Am I happy? Not as the world would say. Spiritually, I guess I’ve mostly felt battered…but I try, and I trust as much as I can, and pray for others, and try to help in the little ways available.

Renata, I wonder how happy we can expect to be in this life, or does God desire of us that we be generous, and warm, and cheerful, even at times heroicly generous? If it is so, may God help you with that. May God help you anyway. And I do understand. I don’t cry so much these days, but from many of the earlier years have a lake of tears out there somewhere! 🙂

Hugs, Trishie
