Attacking Glen Beck’s wife is an act of cowardice. It would be the same if a conservative attacked, I don’t know, Rachel Maddow’s partner. No reasonable person would endorse or condone such an act, whoever the victim or the perpetrator was. Pretty sure there’s a commandment concerning that.

Praying for forgiveness for the attacker and recovery for the attacked and her family.

Edited to remove an ad hominem attack.
I never asserted that a conservative committing the same act would be anything other than a cowardly conservative goon.

If a young kid with stupid spiked hair and foolish lowered pants messed with someone’s wife, then I would say, “Young punk.”

(Even more so as it interrupted the enjoyment of an Alfred Hitchcock film!) Let’s not generalize the incident to most liberals or most New Yorkers, please.
As Beck pointed out, no other New Yorker raised their voice against these thugs.

To be honest I wonder why he expected better of the city.

Yes, let’s attack a city of 8 million people because of what happened in one movie theater. Lets attack the entire city because of the actions of literally .0000125% of the city, in one of its 5 boroughs.

Oh, wait-I forgot that nobody who lives in New York is a real American, and that they therefore don’t count.

If that’s what you want to think I don’t think I can change you mind.

As a resident in the New York metropolitan area, I don’t really appreciate the slandering of every human being in a great city.

Well Lujack, NYC is nice, but really; isn’t the best city. . . . BOSTON!?!?!

Everyone knows that. . . 🤷😉

Here’s a little more info from The Gawker:

But a woman with first-hand knowledge of the wine-spilling writes in. Turns out her friend accidentally spilled wine on Tanya:
I was on the blanked directly behind Mr. Beck, and while we did find it amusing that wine was spilled on Tanya & co, I can tell you that it was 100% accidental. My friend was drinking her wine and it tipped over, as wine glasses are wont to do. We immediately helped Tanya & co clean up the “mess” and offered them our napkins, and apologies were made. There was no hostility or animosity in the exchange, and I find it hard to believe that a half-filled glass of wine would be capable of “soaking” anyone, even waif-thin Tanya. Moreover, why would we waste the wine?

The wasting the wine angle rings true to me. If someone were deliberately trying to attack Mrs. Beck, wouldn’t they throw a glass of wine in her face?

How was this verified?

The same way Beck’s side of the story was verified! This is Glenn Beck we are talking about here. The man has a history of embellishing slights so he can play the perpetual victim.

I have only skimmed the first page, so, I don’t know if this has been addressed.

If one researches this via Yahoo!, one finds that this is not necesarily what happened. People took pictures of Glenn Beck with his family and nobody is haggling them and they appear to be happy. According to a witness, he was not haggled anymore than any other famous person would be in NY. Also, the wine spilled was accidental and apologies were made.

Why he needs to be the victim and speak imprudently I don’t know.

I didn’t but then again, I really don’t care. It seems the word great doesn’t mean as much as it used to.

And Bill Clinton did not inhale…

I thought Michelle Obama made that socially acceptable.

WIll you be prepared to say “conservvative thugs” when a liberal celebrity is accosted by a disagreeable crowd?

Anyway, one mild consolation for having stayed is that he got to see an excellent film. 39 steps is one of my favorites. A worthy motivation to stick it out to the end.
Yes…as soon as that happens…immediately…only thankfully it won’t. First…sadly there are not enough conservatives in NY to make a mob.😦

All the “conservative” and “liberal” bashing aside, society in general seems to have gone backward. We don’t seem to be progressing (pardon the pun:)) in the right direction. Seem to be going backward. Whether liberal or conservative, we seem to have a lot more unsophisticated thugs running around that think they are free to bully and sometimes physically hurt people because it’s their “right.” It’s sad and sometimes scary. Yeah, I guess he was in New York, but hey, it shouldn’t really matter where he was, totally totally wrong.
